Ive been here A lot over the last few years as they were the most consistent out of the Jamaican places near/in Katy. I haven't been most recently because there have been a lot of new places that opened up. Sunday I decided to go back since I hadnt been there in a while. I spent $70 on a nice size red snapper which was undercooked and a large oxtail which were super tough. the rice and peas looked a little off and smelled really sour as if maybe it had been cooked and left sitting out for a day or two. definitely wasn't fresh and smelled as if it was old and possibly reheated; the taste was definitely bad too. We ended up throwing all the food away. The service is always good. I've never had any bad service and typically I have pretty decent food from here however, this time it just wasn't good and the food definitely was thrown away.

Love the ox tail w rice & beans= peas! (20 stars) Tried the curry chicken < was so delicious > also dark sauce chicken < spectacular > always 1 order of sweet plantains!!! Chicken patties!!! Delicious too! they have good good food! So many plates to try.

I am fortunately not a novice to spices, and so the jerk chicken was absolutely delicious. Copious spices, but fortunately, not overwhelming to me. Just a heads up to people not familiar with the dish, there are bones still in it, but the meat is so tender that they almost fall off the bones.

So I didn't know this restaurant was in the area until I saw the flag driving down the street. On my way home, I stopped in, not noticing they were closing up and I was the last customer! I ordered the large curry goat with rice and peas, cabbage and roti skin. Now we all know how food can be not good especially when folks are trying to close up and a customer wants food, so I was a bit apprehensive about how good it would be. Well, I have to say the goat, rice and roti skin was GREAT! The cabbage was so-so! The customer service was GREAT and if the food is this good when they are closing, I have to try them when they first open and everything is fresh!!! No complaints and I will definitely be back!
Honestly the worst carribean food I’ve ever had. They gave a good try but it was just nasty to me. Oxtail, beef patty, even the cocoa bread. I personally won’t be returning.
