We used to come here a lot but today I’m really disappointed in them. We always wanted to try the Bak Kut Teh, which is only served on Sundays. Today we called beforehand and were told that they still had a lot of Bak Kut Teh left and they could save one order for us. We then drove 30+ minutes to the restaurant just for this dish. After arriving at the restaurant, we told the lady that we had called and wanted to order the Bak Kut Teh and another dish. We then waited and waited, during which time we saw two orders of Bak Kut Teh being served to two tables that came in after us. About 30 minutes later, I asked the lady how much longer we had to wait. She told me that Bak Kut Teh was all sold out. I said we even called in advance and got one order saved for us. The lady just kept apologizing. We spent over an hour for this dish only to be left in frustration. We had to find another place to eat for the evening. This restaurant’s behavior is not acceptable and we will never come here again. They’ve just lost two loyal customers.

Upon walking into the restaurant we luckily got the only table available. Looking at the limited menu we decided on the Malaysian Roti Telur, chicken Char Kuey Teow, and the Uncle Chin's Sizzling Tofu with seafood sauce. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but all three dishes were flavorful. The Roti Telur was crispy and flaky, and complimented well with the curry. For the Char Kuey Teow you can choose between different spice levels, we chose regular spice and it wasn’t overly spicy, but it was nonetheless delicious. The dish smelled great and the taste did not disappoint. The sautéed onions and bean sprouts especially stood out from the dish, 10/10! For the final dish, it came out sizzling hot on the plate. The tofu skin was crispy but the inside was soft, and when paired with the seafood sauce it made for a more savory taste. The staff were really welcoming and created a cozy atmosphere. While eating, Uncle Chin himself came out to greet us and even gave us chocolate popsicles before we left. This restaurant exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back.

Sumptuous meal today with family and friends - char kway thiau (wok hei / smoked), nasi lemak, roti canai with chicken curry, authentic Beef Rendang, Teh Tarik and Cendol. Bonus was Chef Franco’s rendering of “it’s now or never” while guests devoured the food.

The best chicken curry flavor in the greater Houston area. Roti canai was spot on. I'm coming back regardless of the drive to get here. Definitely worth the travel time. Best Malaysian hole in the wall experience.

Our waiter, Daisy, was absolutely excellent and treated us like family. We laughed together, enjoyed fantastic food, and the live performances were the cherry on top that took our first visit to a five star experience.
Fantastic food. Beautifully fragrant and spiced. Everything was delicious and we were lucky enough to have the chef sing bésame mucho for us. 10/10 experience for someone who has never had Malaysian food.
The food is amazing and the service is unbeatable. Chef/owner comes out to talk to his customer and the staff is passionate about the food. This place is a gem!
