A magical amazing experience! When entering the restaurant it's as if you are in a fairy tale! Highly recommend the 4 course taste! Amazing...especially the pigs in the cloud Act 1! A must try even if only 1 time. A different unique place! A WOW factor for sure!
Food was amazing and it was great speaking to the chef throughout the meal. Unique flavor pairings. Such a hidden gem in Kemah! Hard to beat in or outside of the loop!
The drinks were excellent, and the food was decent. The service however, was abysmal. We had to ask him more than one occasion for napkins and silverware, even after one of our dishes had to be delivered to our table. Sat waiting for half an hour for our check and finally went to the bar to ask for it. Waited another 5 to 10 minutes for our check to arrive at our table where I had to waiter/bartender that some of our food on the bill never made it out even after waiting three times longer than we were told Hopefully, we were a one off and others have a better experience
We wanted something fun and unique to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary and they did not disappoint! From craft cocktails to whimsical bites that blew your mind, Chef Skinner and his team took it to another level. Our service was top notch and I have no doubt we will be back.
Really enjoyed the service, drinks, food and abience. Great place and we will be back. Thank you!
Not worth the hype. You can go downtown for way better food for cheaper or the same price. Don’t pay for confidence over priced food.

My first time ever indulging in a multi corse meal, I would definitely recommend, we have plans to book again with their Native American inspired cuisine next!
The New Years Eve buffet was a joke compared to the food the restaurant typically serves. It was cafeteria food at best. Very disappointing
Great experience and food, Chef David is a pleasure to talk to and helped me out with a mistake I made in the reservation process. Will definitely go again.

What a joke. We made a reservation in advance. There’s no parking and when we got there, they asked if I wouldn’t mind sitting separate for my husband on our anniversary. You have to use an app to order a cocktails. You can’t actually order cocktails directly from the servers this place is an absolute joke.

Was asked to move to a lounge area with 2 separate seats ( I was in a loveseat as it was our anniversary) because “a 3 top was coming in” My husband circled the area for about 20 minutes as there was no parking. You had to order your drinks and food via a QR code, which is not advertised in advance. I'm visually impaired and would not have made a reservation had I known. I ended up leaving before I ordered anything. Really put a damper on our anniversary celebration.
Chef David Skinner did an outstanding job with Eculent. Every single course was incredible, and this quickly became one of my favorite tasting menus in Houston. The creativity behind each dish really sets this place apart—Eculent delivers an experience you truly won’t find anywhere else in the city.
The dinner is about $239 per person, with optional wine pairings at $129 per person, plus a 20% service charge. It’s definitely on the higher end, but honestly, I felt it was worth the splurge for such a memorable and well-executed meal.
I also love that the menu is seasonal and constantly changing, which makes the experience exciting every time you go. Every dish we had was fantastic—no complaints at all. If you’re into unique, elevated tasting menus, Eculent is absolutely worth trying.

We visited eculent last night, and it was truly unforgettable. The food wasn't just delicious, it was incredibly creative, with each course offering surprising flavors, textures, and presentations that kept us excited for what would come next. It's the kind of dining that feels like an adventure. The atmosphere was just as remarkable. There's something magical about the space, immersive, intimate, and thoughtfully designed to elevate the experience. From the ambiance to the pacing of the meal, everything felt curated with care. If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers both exceptional cuisine and a sense of wonder, eculent is absolutely worth the visit. We left already talking about when we'll be back.

Eculent delivers delicious and one of a kind bites. It is truly a combination of Willy Wonka and Alice in Wonderland. A very unique and fun evening. Chef Skinner is very talented bringing a real culinary experience.
