I was very excited to find this place while visiting a relative. I went out in a storm of rain and limited parking to pick up my to go order. I’ve had fish and chips lots of places, even Scotland and ❤️ this meal. However, when I picked up my to go order, I was very disappointed. My fish (haddock) was very dry and firm, not flakey at all. Maybe it isn’t supposed to be flakey, but I am sure it’s not supposed to be dried out. It had the firmness of chicken and look of chicken. The fries were undercooked and soggy. Yes it was a to go order, but well crisped fries still look well crisped in color when picked up, not pale and soggy. Worst part, this unenjoyable meal cost $30. I couldn’t even eat it all, I had to stop. Maybe I came on an off day, but for $30 it should have been on point.

What an amazing experience from start to finish! The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely earned the seal of approval from my English bestie and her dad, as well as my Scottish dad. A solid 10/10 all around. The staff was incredible—Wendy kept checking in on us throughout our meal, genuinely taking interest in chatting with us and exchanging stories with our dads. It made the experience feel extra personal and special. Our server was attentive and hardworking the entire time, too. We even got to chat with a few team members from Scotland and England, which added a lovely touch. At the end, we had the chance to sit and talk with the owner for a while — such a nice way to wrap up the day. Great food, great people, and a fantastic atmosphere. This place is a gem and we will definitely be back!

for being in an area with lots of food choices this is a gem of a restaurant. We tried a bit of everything on the menu and all of it was delicious. Fresh light and flaky fish, crunchy and flavorful pies, great tasting gravy for the chips. We will for sure be coming back here.

The entrees are pretty good but you need to go and get a pot of tea with the sticky toffee pudding.
