Dropped in on Halloween with two friends who had just arrived from England after touring the US and driving down from Montana. They said it was some of the best fish and chips they have tasted, even better than back home.
Went here because of the reviews and so glad we did! The haddock and chips were amazing—best flaky crust we’ve had on fish and chips! Also got the steak pie, which felt like having the best pot roast with a homemade crust around it. Try the brown gravy with the fries—never had that before but it worked very well together. By the way you can tell the fries are fresh cut—larger, natural pieces with a subtle crunch.
Our server Charlie was fantastic! She was friendly, knowledgeable and we lacked nothing!
The hand battered fish was delicious, the coleslaw was delicious and even the tartar sauce was very good. Apparently the owner/s are from Scotland and they are a true gift to the Kemah community!
