We absolutely love this place. Definantly our go to for a nice romantic date and special occasion. For the price its awsome. Grilled oysters are the best here and we have tried many places noone compares. All the servers are great and the manger shawn always walks around making sure everyone is ok and goes out of his way to talk to you and makes you feel like your family. First restaurant weve been to that the manager actually cares to talk to each person and you actually see in the restaurant. We had two meals and double order of oysters for 100 dollars not bad. Gotta try the beinville and Rockefeller.
Came in for the first time and Richard was our server. He was very attentive and nice. I got the shrimp fettuccine, and my boyfriend got the blackened catfish. The food came out and it was perfect, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. Will definitely be returning!!

Been to the kemah boardwalk multiple times and have eaten at all of the restaurants except this one. I had high hopes but was very disappointed in this place. Walked in the front door and it reeked of sewerage, hostess tried to blame it on the creosote from the poles. Was seated inside but had to request to be moved because of the smell. Server happily obliged us. Was seated outside we ordered our drinks and ceviche. Possibly the worst ceviche we’ve ever had. Came out in a fancy glass on a bed of lettuce. It was $15.95 for a glass filled half full of lettuce. The little bit of ceviche that was in the glass had no flavor at all, no lime juice in it whatsoever so much so that we didn’t finish it. When our order came it was wrong so they left the broiled platter and brought us what we did order which was the ultimate fisherman platter. The broiled platter was very bland, had to add a lot of salt to get any flavor, they ruined the crab cake by dumping some kind of sauce on it and drowned the fish in a ponchatrain sauce. Our other platter was a fried platter, the coconut shrimp were ok but they didn’t clean the shrimp properly, the fried shrimp had zero flavor, the fish was inedible and the fries were mealy. Our server was very very nice and very friendly. For a restaurant that’s on the boardwalk we’re very disappointed. Would not recommend ever eating here nor will we ever go back to The Flying Dutchman in Kemah, TX

We love Kemah! This restaurant has the best views and loved sitting outside! The food was great!! Hot and fresh. Presentation was nice as well. I got the Greek Salad with chicken and it was so good. Another guest got the fish and chips which was such a great portion and looked amazing. Shianne was our waitress. She was attentive, respectful, and professional! Be sure to ask for her! She will take care of you fast and efficiently.

We had a wonderful experience this past Saturday! We were at the boardwalk for the crawfish and zydeco fest, we wanted to get out of the heat and get some food. We were sat immediately, our waitress was a little goofy at first but overall nice and attentive. The food was awesome! I got the Cobb salad, husband got the bisque, brother and sister n law got burgers and all was so enjoyable! Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Great place to bring your family! We have been patrons for years. Food is priced very well, it's delicious, and there are many great options on the menu. The view of boats coming and going along the boardwalk is so entertaining & fun while you eat as well! We had a large party yesterday and the food and service were excellent. Everything was served in a timely manner. We highly recommend this place for a wonderful meal with a view!

Our waitress Jessica was great. Attentive and knowledgeable. The food was awesome. My husband ordered the ribeye steak. It was favorable and melted in your mouth. I had the Oyster Rockefeller. My drink was a little strong though. Everything was great in all. R
The first time I went here I was super disappointed, my crawfish queso had hair in it and the waiters were very rude, gave us the wrong order twice. I went today at 6:20 pm waited long to be seated, (the restaurant had nobody sitting inside) when we finally got seated we waited 15 minutes for a waiter to come and no one ever did. We got up and left and still after 30 minutes our menus are in the same place.

Food wasn't that great, perfectly fried but missing seasoning. Our cocktails also tasted funny, especially the Paloma. Way too sweet and just overall not worth their prices. Plus our server took her time getting back to the table, we had to get up to pay instead of her bringing the check because she just was not checking in as often as she probably could have. However while dining outdoors we did meet a cute little cat and I would go back just for that sweet male cat.

We ended up here on a rainy weekday at 7pm. So it was quiet, but my dad and I are extremely glad we are here. The insane quality of every bite was shocking for the price, and service was as well. Everything from the coffee to, oysters, to main dish was uniquely delicious... Jessica was a wonderful server.

Just enjoyed the most wonderful time, with great food, atmosphere service and kindness, at The Flying Dutchman! It is my birthday, and owner Sean went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful experience...with great food and drink recommendations. The hand-shaken pina colada is a must have! And the key fish and chips was delicious! Even the music playing in the background was wonderful and helped set the tone for a great meal and experience. Will definitely be back!
