Was asked to move to a lounge area with 2 separate seats ( I was in a loveseat as it was our anniversary) because “a 3 top was coming in” My husband circled the area for about 20 minutes as there was no parking. You had to order your drinks and food via a QR code, which is not advertised in advance. I'm visually impaired and would not have made a reservation had I known. I ended up leaving before I ordered anything. Really put a damper on our anniversary celebration.
We visited eculent last night, and it was truly unforgettable. The food wasn't just delicious, it was incredibly creative, with each course offering surprising flavors, textures, and presentations that kept us excited for what would come next. It's the kind of dining that feels like an adventure. The atmosphere was just as remarkable. There's something magical about the space, immersive, intimate, and thoughtfully designed to elevate the experience. From the ambiance to the pacing of the meal, everything felt curated with care. If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers both exceptional cuisine and a sense of wonder, eculent is absolutely worth the visit. We left already talking about when we'll be back.
Eculent delivers delicious and one of a kind bites. It is truly a combination of Willy Wonka and Alice in Wonderland. A very unique and fun evening. Chef Skinner is very talented bringing a real culinary experience.
The food was excellent and the place looked amazing. It was my birthday celebration so I kind of expected a little something special that never came.
Eculent is a unique experience, the inside resembles more like a cool lounge than a restaurant. The drink menu is fun and quirky. I reserved for the tasting experience so I didn't explore the food menu. Aside from the first bite, the tasting is served all at once on a tray, about 13 in all. I felt there needed to be a map to guide the diner through the tray, and also to help guide the story. It felt like individual pieces.
The new Eculent reopening as a cocktail bar and small bites is still an experience. Each drink was a delicious event. Obviously much time has been spent creating this menu. From the ordering process to the glasses to the way the food is presented, everything is unique and perfect. It's pricy but worth it. The molecular gastronomy is incredible representing the previous Eculent restaurant. The setting is beautiful and creates a mood. Even in the bathroom LOL. The staff was attentive and enjoyable. We'll definitely be back! I have half a mind to give it one star so we can continue to get reservations!
Chef David was Amazing as always. Beautiful new space will transform you to another place in time. Evan & Courtney are making Magic one of a kind cocktails behind the bar.
Chef David Skinner has his magical ways with food; any dish becomes a story for you to degust. The atmosphere is surreal. Revisit many of your favorite dishes from Eculent at your paste and in the order you desire, you are in charge. Wonderful experience we loved it.

It was an entirely new experience - don't have anything to compare it. Overall, very interesting philosophy and have encouraged friends and family to try it.
Amazing food, beautiful historical storytelling. This place was better than pujol in cdmx.

A special experience curated by two excellent chefs. This is for the adventurous eaters that will try new things and appreciate the origins and history. I certainly didn't love every dish, but there were many memorable and delicious ones out of the 15 courses. The drink pairings were often unique and enjoyable. I loved the decor and ambiance provided by the table lightning and unique touches such as hand woven baskets for serving food.
