Came down to San Antonio from Austin for the weekend and stopped by this food truck for lunch! Me and my friends got the vegetarian tacos and the chicken tacos. They were nice and flavorful- especially with the green salsa! The service was good and it was around a 10 minute wait for the tacos. They raised the prices since the last time I came but they are still cheaper than a lot of places in Austin!

I love this place. They recently increased their prices but it's still cheaper than most places and food. Great location, and they're open late. I usually get the mini tacos. I've tried their strawberries with cream and wasn't a fan, but that may just be due to my preference.

The late night eats scene in San Antonio is already limited, so it's places like Tacos El Regio that carry the torch for folks looking for a bite in the middle of the night. There are two locations in the city, with this one smack dab in the heart of St. Mary's where they serve a nightly crowd of club goers and folks looking to avoid a hangover. Some things that separate them from the average taco truck: illuminated signage, dessert options, English friendly food descriptions, credit card machines, and higher than average prices. The latter is an obvious nod to a gringo target audience, so Mexican food purists will need to taper their expectations before partaking. Their self proclamation of "best tacos on earth" is likely in jest, but I do think they have items that are worth a look. Namely their "mini tacos" aka taquitos ($8 for 4), giant torta ($9), and charro beans . The esquite (ahem, "corn in a cup") was a bit watery for my tastes and the quesadilla ($3.50) is a solid pick. Meats are really limited to asada, pollo, and pastor but they also feature a bean and cheese taco, which at $2 is their least expensive option. On their busiest evenings, the lines can get long and customer service can be a bit curt. The parking is extremely limited to side streets, so consider this El Regio only if one is bar / club hopping, or just randomly walking through St. Mary's looking for a late night bite.

So much money for little food , needs bigger portion of food per plate. Food was good but I felt like I literally got robbed

Great food, terrible service. I feel like this review should be better, given the solid food and my history with them, but today was just too much. Waited almost 30 minutes for 4 breakfast tacos. Nothing crazy (B&C, juevos a la mex w/ cheese, pastor). When I arrived, there was no answer at the speaker. Pulled up to the window, to 'oh I didn't see you (or hear you yelling!!).' Was told to pull up and wait. Proceeded to watch the 3 cars behind me order and be served. When my food finally arrived, there was no apology, nothing. Worst service I have had in a very long time. Won't be back, and I have been going there for many years.

Great food and friendly service. The burgers are awesome. Chicken tacos were fantastic. They are super friendly too. Hole in the wall in a gas station with no gas and now I know why they're always busy. They close at 4pm though.

Food was awesome. So tasty. The service was fast too even though it was busy. I liked it so much I went back the next day. Sad that I don't live close by or I'd be eating here every week

Legitimately the best tacos I’ve had. Incredible quality, always very fresh, and everyone is always so nice. I highly recommend them.
