My husband and I had a great time. They were so kind to save us seats even though we were a little late and it was a busy night it still was perfect. Food and service was great. Thank you! Tye and Laura

Our waiter took over an hour to take our order, then had some sort of emotional breakdown and literally stopped serving us. We had to have another waiter take our order after the 1 hour mark of being in the restaurant. If you're a large party, steer clear of this place. They have no systems or processes in place to handle larger groups.

Always a fun time Food was good. Scallops were bland yet all the rest was fine. Took an hour from seating till the chef came to start the cooking. Glad to have the soup and salad prior. Wear a long sleeve shirt. With the fans.. its a bit chilly in there.

Overall, it was fine. The quality of sushi was just okay, so after trying the tuna tataki, we were glad we went for hibachi (served at the table instead of with a large group). He got the lobster and filet and I ordered the lobster with scallops and shrimp. The food was okay, just not worth the value. The bill was around $170 with tip, and we had a better quality meal the following night at 1011 Bistro for far less.

We waited an hour for the Hibachi chef. The restaurant must have been short staffed. Our server was rude and gave very little follow up. I expected that we would receive some sort of update or explanation about the wait. When the Hibachi chef finally came to our table, he was kind. He told us he was actually the kitchen manager and was going to fill in at the grill. When he started the grill, the flame caught the sugar packets at our table on fire. The food was not prepared in a way that we are accustomed to...too much butter, no eggs in fried rice, some proteins were overcooked and rubbery. Two people in our party became sick to their stomachs later that evening. One person in our party ordered a meal that wasn't from the Hibachi grill. The server never gave us any information or updates about when the food would be ready so I went to the bar to check on it after most of the food from the grill had been prepared and served. The bar tender kindly agreed to check and then our server came out and curtly said, "It will be out soon. They are working on it now." The worst part was that when our bill came, a tip had already been applied. I typically tip 20% but had no intention of doing so this time. However, we didn't get an option to apply a tip based on the service we received. I understand this b/c we were a party of 7 but, in this circumstance, it wasn't appropriate to apply a tip ahead of time. No one (other than the kitchen manager/Hibachi Chef) ever apologized or offered any explanation for the terrible, slow service. A small apology goes a long way with me. I have actually never written a critical review but felt compelled to do so this time. We've enjoyed Bonzai on many occasions. This was my husband's choice for his birthday and he was the once who ended up apologizing to everyone for making the decision to go to Bonzai. I'm sure we will go back again eventually as we usually enjoy the experience- but not any time soon.

Great place to eat. Very accommodating to a large group of veterans. Offer us a deal for Veterans Day. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. Would use it again.

Tonight was Veterans Day and we made reservations for 6pm. We arrived at 550 to along line. We were seated at the hibachi grill at 605pm outlet waitress was running around and finally came to table. She took our drink orders and appetizer order and then came back an hour later to take our meal order. This was unacceptable. At 815 pm our meal had not even been cooked at the grill but new customers we being served in a timely manner we finally got our check and left. This was a disappointing night. I planned this dinner tonight for my husband who is a Veteran and he didn't even get his meal. The appetizer we had did taste good but after waiting over 2 hours we left.

Moving from the Pacific NW, where Sushi is outstanding, I wasn’t expecting such a great experience. Great service and superb sushi. You must eat there when in Kerville.

Food was good. Paid extra for the hibachi, and apparently they were shortstaffed, so one of the managers filled in. It was about as exciting as if my kid was cooking for me on a grill on my back porch. However, with all that said, the restaurant was clean, and the food was delicious.service was slightly lackluster. They were not busy at all, and had to ask almost every time to get a refill on drinks. Might go back, might not. We will see.
