Their chicken salad with cranberry sandwich is fabulous! Environment is a little too “open.” Needs more intimate seating. Too cafeteria-like. Pricing is a little high for a largely self-serve place.

I have eaten here several times. I enjoy the choices they offer, and the staff are very friendly. However, I have to mention a recent experience. I ordered one of their daily specials, and it was mis-marked on the chalkboard. I was charged a little over $16 for their shrimp & grits & an iced tea. The menu displayed a price of $9.95 for the meal without the drink included. I was very disappointed when the displayed price wasn't honored once she announced the higher total, and was further disappointed when no one fixed the mistake on the chalkboard the entire time I was there.

This place has an industrial feel, very open layout. The ordering process was quick and easy. Today's special was good home cooked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and stewed green beans, so tasty. Beverage dispensers displayed offering spa water infused with citrus fruits was light and refreshing. I splurged and tried the Ginger snap cookie and it was awesome!

Cartewheels chicken salad is the best I've ever had. Also love their fresh baked focaccia bread and home made chips! They also have really good desserts. This is my go to for lunch when I'm in Kerrville. They're only open for dining 11-2, but it's so worth working it into your schedule.
