I used to eat there every day 63 years ago when I was a student at Shriner Institute. The food was good and the snack bar out back was great!!!
Amazing! Warm Cookie Wednesday is on another level. Not only were the desserts on point but the chef might be Jordan Ramsey because the casserole has hittin different!!!!

It's one of the few buffet options in the area and I enjoy buffets. This place is simple but has many options
Gus Shreiner Dining Hall is one of the best kept secrets in Kerrville. It's open to the public even though it's the campus dining hall for Schreiner University students. We've only been for dinner, but it's also open for breakfast and lunch.Burgers & fries, baked potatoes, a nice salad bar, freshly made fire-baked pizza (generously cheesy and it STRETCHES when you take a bite ?) and a rotating entrée with a side and vegetable. Tonight was a very meaty Shepherd's Pie (scrumptious) accompanied by yellow rice and broccoli Normandy. There are some desserts offered, tonight's were cookies, chocolate cupcakes and chocolate pudding. And there's always soft-serve ice cream?Sunday also offers brunch and a more traditional "Sunday Dinner" style menu. Rumor has it, the prime rib is some of the best in Kerrville, and you won't break the bank to enjoy it.

Just reopened we were told for Sunday brunch. Great value, but speciality of roast beef (or prime rib) was terrible. Waited for fresh meat to be brought out, and enen though cut from center meat was totally overdone, tough and dry as a bone. We've been in the past and had great time, they will have to step it up to get their regulars back.

First visit for me. Husband raved about chicken fried steak. It's not really good. Way over cooked. I'm sure it is precooked, but it was incinerated. Salad bar excellent. Sorry, Aramark food is not good. No pizza, desserts boring.

The food is excellent on Sundays. Can't say much for the atmosphere, but the prices are very reasonable too.

If you are in Kerrville on Sundays, you want to brunch here! This is a wonderful selection of good food - everything from breakfast to dinner. They have a lovely salad bar, but my favorite is the omelet bar. It is great that the funds help support the school. The only complaint is that they need more coffee machines LOL
The staff at the dining hall "ROCKSTARS"My first impression "Smiling and satisfied"I know now that's thier standard. Good variety of food to choose from. ?
