Hungry Dog Roadside Eats

First responder helping out with tragic flood that happened. I was looking for something to eat saw the pit smoking and open sign immediately pulled in . That sliding window opened so quick and the lady was smiling so hard and was so helpful no doubt I was spending money here lol. I got the frito pie and it did not disappoint it was full of brisket, sausage, beans,and everything except the kitchen sink. 😋 . Definitely try if in the area they're only open Thursday and Friday @ 11

A little roadside shack that make the best pork chop that I’ve ever eaten. Delicious ribs, beans and potato salad, too. Most affordable BBQ in Kerrville. No photos, sorry, we ate it all. Thanks Scotty, see you real soon.

I just ate the best pork chop I have ever eaten. That is not an exaggeration. Better than Perry's steakhouse. The fact it was in a Styrofoam box makes it even more amazing.
I have eaten from Hungry Dogs several times now I am always shocked that a little shack can produce such wonderful food.
You will have to look to find these guys. But you will be glad you did.

They have the Best food! Been eating here a couple years! I come for the winter and get something from them every week! Won't eat bbq at home anymore! Only open Thurs. and Fri. 11 - 1. Follow on fb as the limited menu changes week to week. Best to order ahead on-line as they might run out. Everything is excellent and lots of food for a low price. I tell everyone I know about Scotty's little roadside eatery!

I've been eating here a couple years now. Come down for the winter and get something every week. All the food is excellent with huge portions and great prices. Can't eat bbq at home in Michigan because this is so good. Follow them on fb so you can see the limited changing menu. Only open Thurs. and Fri. from 11 - 1. See you next year!!

The BEST SMOKED salmon I have ever eaten!! A friend special ordered smoked salmon for our Round Top trip. It was delicious! The salmon was huge and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!!

Had a delicious lunch from The Hungry Dog today! Hubby loved the baked potato with sausage and my smoked ham plate was wonderful! Definitely have to get food from here when we visit!
