We pass through Kerrville once a year and this is our third time at PAX. We always come early before 7am and the morning crew always seems less than excited to see us. The pastry case is almost always empty or only has what was leftover from the day before. We would much rather choose local over Starbucks but the experience just leaves something to be desired, especially when spending $26 on two lattes, a scone and cinnamon coffee cake.
The drinks we had were delicious! It’s a cute, peaceful place to sit while you enjoy your beverage or food. I recommend the Bees Knees if you like a latte. I had a cold brew. It was smooth and bold without being bitter. I didn’t get to try the food this time, but it looked and smelled good. The staff were professional and prompt. I went during lunchtime on a weekday, and there was seating available for 5 while we had our drinks. It was overall a pleasant experience .
Cool vibe for a coffee shop right off the main square. I really don’t like leaving poor reviews for local shops- especially since coffee taste is based on personal preference. But I tried an iced almond milk latte with half lavender, and it was undrinkable. The quality of almond milk was poor; it had the consistency of water. The flavor of the espresso tasted extremely burnt, so the whole latte tasted like ash. I’m not much of a sweet coffee drinker, but that’s typically my safest bet in small towns. They also don’t have a drink menu posted, so it’s hard to know what you’re paying for. I took maybe 3 drinks out of this at least $7 latte and had to throw the rest away
Delicious food and loved the relaxing atmosphere
Loved this little coffee shop. I had The Nutty Professor and it was great! The chocolate coconut cookie was phenomenal!
First visit, very quick at the end of the day. Coconut chocolate cookie was amazing!!! Two men were friendly and helpful. We want to try again!
Super cute spot with great service and great food and drinks! Staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating! Definitely recommend!
Great Coffee Shop, in the downtown, by the River. I Bought a coffee and a cinnamon roll and took a minute to get ready for the next leg of a long trip.
Great food and kind staff.
Server was nice. Husband had Regular coffee was really good. I had the bees knees and it was yummy. My daughter had the blue moon cold brew, she loved the flavor but didn’t love that it had grounds in it.
First time visiting PAX Coffee Shop. Excellent service, ambiance, and latte. Thank you for everything!

Sold me the day and night coffee then told me they were out of Carmel... Would have been nice to know before you took my money. My "latte" tasted like the coffee I make at home... Was not worth the 20 minute wait.

Ordered 3 dishes with 2 coffees. Our coffee came cold, then waited 10 minutes for our first dish to arrive. 13 minutes later, our second dish came in a to go box. My daughters food never showed. Went to the counter to remind them twice. 3rd time my wife went to the counter at that point they decided they should let the cook know to start making it. total of 1hour just to get the worlds most basic banana Nutella panini.
