While staying between Kerrville and Fredericksburg, I saw a great review for Rio Ranch Cafe’s Chicken Fried Steak and decided to try it for breakfast with eggs. The steak lived up to the hype, with excellent breading and tasty gravy. I didn’t sample other menu items, as this was my first—and likely last—visit, being from Seattle. I’d recommend it if you’re closer to Kerrville than Fredericksburg.
What a Gem! If you're from out of town and looking for a warm welcoming environment this is your place. Must try the brisket omelette and biscuits. Promise, I won't be steered the wrong way.
Atmosphere was the country style I love. Service was great. The only thing negative, which was not that important, but I asked for crispy hash browns, and got a little uncooked potatoes. Rio ranch breakfast was huge. My wife ordered Brisket hash and she couldn’t finish it. I tasted the brisket and it tasted so good. Plenty of parking and sitting.
