Awesome setting on the river, plenty of TVs with the game on, huge lighted porch over the river to enjoy a cigar.

I’ve tried giving this place so many chances. Food is atrocious. Staff could care less how long you’ve been sitting without being helped.
Update for Owner:
If you consider 4 tables total busy, then yes sir.

We had a wonderful experience at The Boat in Kerrville! The seafood was outstanding, delicious, and full of flavor. The views along the river are beautiful and really make the experience special. The atmosphere is fun, lively, and perfect for families or a night out. Great food, great views, and a great vibe all around. Highly recommend!

The food! It's great and the drinks are great, too.
Really great food. A bit pricey but really huge portions. Definitely recommend and will return soon.

I have been several times. The food is good but the service is consistanly terrible. I told my husband today that I feel like we look like someone who the wait and bar staff don't like so we are treated poorly with poor service. One time we waited so long we just finally got up and left. The poor service is always the same, no greeting, had to look for an employee to tell us to seat ourselves, tables were dirty, lucky me i had a purell wipe so i could clean the table enough to put my arms down. Staff picked up dirty dishes from empty table and ignored us. Finally came over and picked up the dirty dishes but never wiped the table. Had to get our own forks and napkins feom the serving area. I'm originally from Corpus so I lovee the Port A memorabilia and want to be back, but I think today convinced me to just give up there is no ray of light to show service is getting better.

The waitresses are amazing. The owner is a peace of work who thinks he can judge someone’s alcohol consumption threw hidden cameras and too scared to come shut someone off himself he sends his 20ish year old waitresses to be the bad guy cause he’s scared. Don’t go here simply cause of the owner

Ordered takeout. They forgot the salads but that’s fine. Fried shrimp and fish are amazing. Crispy and full of flavor. Perfectly cooked, not dry at all. Fries are good too as well as the tartar sauce. I only walked in to pick up the food but this is somewhere you’d eat with your guy friends though, not with your girlfriend or family.

By far one of the nastiest gumbos I’ve ever had. The menu said it came with andouille sausage, shrimp, crab, and crawfish. What I actually got was a half spoon of rice and a cup of puréed “gumbo” with only 2 shrimp floating in it. When I asked, I was told the sausage, crab, and crawfish had been blended in this morning—so basically, you’re eating flavored mush. The 2 shrimp were apparently all it came with. Huge disappointment. Save your money and your time. Genesis was an amazing serving and the manager was nice
Excellent service..

Deployed here for 14 days with Task Force 1 for search and recovery in the river. In order for us to use our state credit card for meals, they have to be tax exempt. I had a crew with me to feed, and I explained this to the waitress and she took the form to the manager in the back. She came out and told us the manager was too busy to look at the form. Later she told us it was a new system, and that her manager said he didn’t know how to use it and that he had simply left. He didn’t even bother to come out and talk to us about it. We had to leave before our food arrived because we cannot turn in receipts that show sales tax. The business lost out on a pretty large amount and I took my crew elsewhere.
This was our 11th day deployed here, and every single other restaurant we’ve been to was able to accommodate the tax exempt matter. At the very least the manager could have come out and talked to us himself. I’ve eaten at The Boat many times over the years, but since this is how the place is run, I doubt I’ll ever be back.
