This place was such a disappointment. Tried it once and once was enough.
Great place!

This was our 2nd time eating here. The first time everything was great, just last week. Tonight everything was the complete opposite. The only good service was from the hostess. Our waitress was ok at first and it was downhill from there. Our Queso and Chips (bottom of the barrel with broken crumbs). I ordered the chicken fried steak and it came out soggy because it was sitting under the heat lamp a while before it was brought out, when my waitress finally came to check in us, I told her I was not happy with it; she offered to have them remake it but handed me a small plate to scrap my sides into, I declined as if it was going to be remade, it should all be remade together. I ate broccoli and mashed potatoes. After that she barely came to check on us. The manager came by and asked how everything was and I told her, she also offered to have it remade, by that time I was almost done with my sides and my husband was almost done with his meal. When our waitress asked if we wanted to go boxes, we asked for one for my husband. When she returned, I asked for our check. She only brought the final ticket out, didn’t bring the itemized ticket out to see all charges. My husband thought that was unprofessional and tipped accordingly. We very rarely get to enjoy dinner out together and this was our worst experience in a long time. This experience made our initial impression sour and I doubt we will come back again.

I sponsored a christmas brunch for my family, and they had the best time, already have people up to.sponsor next year, everything was perfect had the best waiter, staff set up perfect, I want to thank you all, see you next year , this was our first year doing this , I usually by everyone gifts, but this year I just wanted the family experience together, because we are usually scattered christmas day, so thank you to brick and d forge for the hospitality. My family enjoyed, and that wasn't all of them, but my purpose accomplished. Great food, I was little iffy on drinks , but waiter , staff all friendly, smiles , great experie ce.Thank you
This was a 5 star place to eat but now...not so much. Service is horrible. Got seated and waited for 15 mins without someone checking on us OR at least getting our drink order. Wouldn't have been so bad if the place was packed but it was midday and about 1/3 full. I hope that table you was flirting with to get a bigger tip makes up for what we would have left you for just taking our order. Maybe so. My daughter had the same experience a couple of month ago. Times are hard, do what you can afford. We walked out.
Food was great. The double trouble was awesome and that little kick is absolutely delicious. Took a little long for not being too busy but worth it.

Everything we ordered tasted pretty much the same…no exaggeration. It really all kinda just tasted like tap water, but with a different mouth feel. Very bland and very greasy. I’d honestly recommend you spending your money elsewhere.

update: i rarely leave reviews but i took the time to rave about this place because it was so great but im leaving so disappointed this visit.
raved about this place to friends and family. was excited to bring more people here with us for their first time and was so disappointed. was sat in a booth that no one was working. had to ask someone to help us before we left because we’re very understanding when it comes to the service industry. still waited to actually be helped even after asking. drinks took forever, appetizers took a while and others that arrived after us got their food before us. i would have left happy if our service was the same as last time but it definitely was not. very disappointed as it was no where near the first experience we had here.
first time here, loved everything about it. service and food was great! drinks from bar super yummy, made by bartenders who know their stuff! will definitely be back. customer service is number one priority and they didn’t disappoint!

Very disappointed. Firecracker shrimp were cold and the way over sauced! Not good at all. My crispy chicken salad was bland and cold chicken. The kids macaroni was gross. No other way to put it. The personal carnivore pizza was the worst. It was clearly pre cooked and then warmed back up. Service was fine.

I'm always on the hunt for local dining, Brick and Forge Taproom hits the mark perfectly. This is the Killeen location, with the feel of a much larger franchise. The atmosphere inside has that of a relaxing bar on one side, with a family-friendly restaurant on the other. The menu has something for everyone selection wise. The hardest part is deciding what you're actually in the mood for once you read them all.
We went with a beer each, fried pickles, which I'll admit I judge a place on their fried pickles, and these did not disappoint in the least. The chicken fried chicken was massive and perfectly cooked to be crispy and yet juicy. The sweet potato fries served with a marshmallow dip was a first and set a new must have when dining out, the pork nachos in the picture is only a half serving with the chips being crispy yet light. The Carmel fries, you'll either love them or hate them, but one bite, and I was hooked. For all this with two beers and coming in cents over $50 was so much more food than at least we could eat, knock off the beers, and it would have been under $40 before tip.
New must go for me, and anyone looking to get a good meal with amazing value! If you've ever gone somewhere and nothing on the menu sounds good, this won't happen here. You'll find something as they have that variety to hit what you're craving.

Great experience overall. The server was really nice and personable, the beer was cold, and the food was great. It's not far from fort Cavazos and I highly recommend it. It has a wide variety of food at very reasonable prices. My forged in fire burger was phenomenal and I can't wait to go back and try more of their food!
Parking: Large free open parking lot near major shipping center that's close to fort Cavazos.
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of tables that are wheelchair accessible with double doors for entry for plenty of space.
