I wanted to try this place so me and my husband, who is born and raised in the Dominican Republic, came all the way from Hurst to try it. We were very disappointed and ended up leaving without ordering any food.The first thing I want to mention is that my husband, being Dominican, says that the menu doesn’t really have many Dominican food staples. He wasn’t impressed with their lack of variety.The waitress wasn’t rude, but that’s the problem: There’s only ONE waitress! It was too busy for just one person to be doing everything. We called her twice and she kept having to do other things like bring other people their food. Then instead of hurrying to the next table, she stands there talking and laughing at the table.My last straw was when someone else came in and we had been waiting 20 minutes for someone to take our order and she took theirs before ours! We paid for our drinks and left con hambre.Listen, I love my fellow Latinos but you have to understand that when you come to a new country you have to change based on how that country operates. People here will read these bad reviews and avoid your business. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few years you will have to close your restaurant because many people here have the same complaints. And think of the people who DIDN’T leave a review but feel the same way.Get it together

The mangu con 3 golpes was awesome. Some of the best I've ever had. The entire plate was a grand slam. You know it's good if I drove 25 minutes before closing time to get a breakfast dish.Kid-friendliness: Clean place with clean music and nothing crazy playing on the tv.

Delicious food and a laid back atmosphere. I have never had Dominican but this food was great. Large portions and great staff taking care of you. We dined on the patio which is nice but there was some noise from the bar next door. Definitely recommend this place over the chain places. We had the braised pork with rice and beans and soup of the day which is really a stew. The passion fruit punch was really good as well.
