Sushi was fresh and yummy. If you go for happy hour, don't forget to ask for the happy hour portion. Otherwise you end up paying full price.

First time trying sushi in Killeen and it was the worst sushi I've ever had. First, my miso soup had a bug in it with its wings sprawled out so it was very much obviously a bug, specifically a nat or fruit fly. I told the server there was a bug in it and he first told me it was seaweed and I said no it's not, it's a bug. Then he kept looking and said it was a green onion and I said no it's not. I got frustrated and said "it is a bug and that's fine but don't try to tell me it's not when I know it is." He never offered me another miso soup and never brought one. He never even asked if I still wanted one. The rice on all of our sushi rolls were dry and stale. The rice tasted like it had been sitting out uncovered. I've had smoked salmon on sushi rolls before but the salmon on the i love sushi roll was over bearing. I was starving so I ate the California roll and only one bite of the I love sushi roll and then gave up. The California roll hardly had any crab in it. I make sushi at home, I don't think I'm that great but I think I can make better sushi at home. I wanted to go out for sushi and this was not worth the $70 we spent. My wonderful husband ended up taking me to H-E-B to purchase sushi and it saved my craving. I wish I would've went and tried H-E-B before wasting $70 to end up irritated and still hungry. By the way, the sushi at H-E-B is way better and the salmon is very good. The restaurant itself is cute but the food was awful and so was the service. Also the server never brought or offered ginger and wasabi.

When I pulled up to pick up my order I noticed a sign that said they were under new ownership. The menu was the same so I didn’t think anything of it. My to go order came in two bags, but instead of the hot and the cold stuff separated it was mixed in. The sashimi plate tasted like straight lemon, ginger and wasabi paste came in packets, and the cilantro roll now is just a roll covered in dried cilantro flakes. The chopsticks they gave were flimsy and useless. The fried rice and yakisoba had almost no flavor. Dropped near 150 on this order. Very disappointing. This has always been my favorite sushi spot in Killeen. Guess I’ll be on the lookout for a new one.

So I’m new to this area and wanted to try some good sushi. Man did this place not disappoint!! Great sushi and excellent service. I wish they had some IPA beer, but will definitely come back again!!
Summary: Not worth $$$*Based on sushi and roll Uber eats order.Definitely not worth your hard earned money in comparison to the quality of food. Rice isn't properly seasoned, stale fish that's thinner than AYCE places, and no chopsticks for takeout order. Look at that California roll, I've never seen a CA roll filled with that much rice with tiny crab meat/avocado and they charge how much? Not worth $ & there's no value.
