I was visiting my home town Killeen, looking for local Dominican food, when I ended up discovering Sabor de Haiti instead. Let’s just say I’m very pleased I found this place. The owner/chef was very genuine and the food was great. I had great conversations with the other customers and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was a 10/10. It’s small businesses like this that should be recognized for the quality that goes into the whole experience of dining there. I know where I will visit anytime I find my way back to Killeen. I couldn’t recommend enough.

I was very disappointed of the food. The Haitian Food Truck at Killeen Food Truck station is ten times better than this restaurant

Me Hubby popped in here for a lunch date. We had a taste for some good Haitian food decided to give this place a try. It’s a very laid back atmosphere. Our server was nice and had good customer service. I had the snapper stew and Hubby had the fried snapper. The texture of the rice was really good however not the flavor we were looking forward to. But the SNAPPER!! Was soooooo good! The fried Okra was really good too! Overall good place to try! If you pop in GET THE SNAPPER!! lolParking: Great Parking OptionsKid-friendliness: Kid Friendly relaxing environment

It wasnt my first time trying Haitian food but it was my first time trying this restaurant. They got it right. Everything tasted so good and so fresh. My only complaint is that the Sabor de Haiti's Style Curry Goat did not come with the empanada as advertised. Everything else was on point. The MiddleSsex Naked drink was ginger forward but still tasted really good. I would order again. (Ordered on doordash)

I drove up from Austin to Killeen to get some Haitian food. The food was well worth the drive and the owner/chef was very welcoming! The tasso cabrit was cooked to perfection and I look forward to trying all their plates.

I ordered a couple of times from this place because I wanted to be supportive but the food has been mediocre. I don’t think I will be ordering anymore. The last dish I ordered was the bouyon and it was not good. Where was the yam, boi etc? It wasn’t good.

No idea how I'm the first to Yelp this spot, but it is an honor. My youngest son is Haitian and we've eaten in and around Port au Prince many times. This place is 1000% serving legit Haitian food, which also means it's super-delicious. The restaurant is clean and spacious and the owner is kind and hard working. Whoever is cooking in the back gets the chefs kiss!Highlights:Spicy Akra (breadfruit, eats sort of like fried zucchini)Fried whole fishGoat Tassot (get beef if you are less adventurous, but the goat is tasty!)Haitian Spaghetti (easy hit for the kids)Fried Plantains (be sure to top with the spicy cabbage slaw called 'Pikliz')Beef legim (a mix of eggplant, cabbage, and stewed beef)Drinks:Prestige (National beer of Haiti)Caribbean vibes cocktailPassionfruit mojitoAsk about the Haitian rum! Well worth the drive from North Austin.
