This is a older hotel and I was told they were doing some remodeling. The WiFi wasn’t the best. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff were very friendly!Nearby activities: Killeen airport, food places, Walmart, interstate

Cute place!! Rooms were large, carpets could use a good steam clean. Staff was overall friendly, overnight guy was a bit snappy with my kids.

Let’s start with I was a little concerned when I entered the building. First thing I noticed is that they are not using the hotel concierge desk but office desks on beside it. But it also gives you more of a personal connection too, so not a complete negative. Then the pool is closed for repairs. This was the main reason I booked an extra day so I could go swimming indoors. But again things happen.Andrea helped me get checked in and she is complete 110% customer service! She made me feel very welcomed and answered all of my questions. Even let me see the room before so I could feel safe about where I was staying. Love love love her! There was another lady that I met the second time I went up front for something, I did not catch her name but completely lovely!I asked about breakfast in the mornings and they do not currently offer any but do have coffee in the mornings. Which is no big deal. To me hotel breakfasts are hit and miss and here lately at other hotels it’s been a miss. Now to the room. Blown away! Very nice layout. When I first walked in to view there is the sink and beauty prep area on the right with a bathtub shower combo and commode on the left. Very spacious.Past that there is a full kitchen with top bottom refrigerator, full stove, dishwasher and microwave. They supplied me with dishes, pots and pans, knives, utensils and flatware. The only thing I see missing is a roll of paper towels! Oh and maybe a dish drainer, spoons, and a dish sponge or cloth would have completed the full set up.Some of my personal items are in the pictures (water, luggage, snack bag, beauty case, etc) but you get the gist.Across the kitchen is a closet to hang clothes, ironing board, luggage shelf and a wall safe.Into the main area there is a pub table and stools, stools at the bar along the kitchen counter, 2 queen beds, end tables, another luggage shelf, rotatable tv, chair, and desk.I am here for a convention and this place is NEXT DOOR to it. I could walk there if I choose!Highly recommend giving this place a shot. I only took off one star due to the pool being unavailable.

There is a November 6 Memorial built directly next door to the Shilo. It was built by the community that was affected by the mass shooting that killed 13 people on what was then known as Fort Hood. No other memorial exists for these victims of murder by one of their own.

Because I spent more for this room, I expected a certain quality of stay, yet received the complete opposite. It started with the check-in. One person at an office desk was checking people in at a snail pace. There were 5-6 people in front of me, so we waited in line for about 30 minutes. I knew at that point it was going to be downhill from there and it was. The hallways had NO A/C, zero. And we all know what kind of summer we're having in TX, so this was just plain wrong and unacceptable. The heat hits you in the face as you walk to your room. The a/c in the room worked, but the room was not clean, see pictures. The hotel and room smells like it was built in the 1800s and should be demolished. I wore slides in the room the whole time, the floor was dirty. I did not step foot in the shower because there were stains in the tub, gross. Stains on the pillow cases and couch, ew.Luckily, I only had to spend a total of 5 hours in this room and that was to rest my eyes on the very edge of the bed before I hit the road. If I ever have to come back to Killeen, I think I'll take my chances at a cheap hotel, I believe I'll have better luck.

I have been staying at this hotel occasionally for the past 8 to 10 years, but they have really let the place go downhill. It was once very immaculate but they have failed to do proper maintenance and upgrades. For example, my room had an old square, tube-style television. The carpet in the hallways, at least on the fourth floor, was wrinkled and stained. There was also some mold on the ceiling above the shower. The indoor pool was nice, but the outdoor pool was empty with trash and leaves. The outdoor landscaping was full of weeds. They didn't offer breakfast or food other than vending machines. Years ago this hotel offered full room service with a restaurant, but not anymore. On a positive note, the staff was friendly. The hotel is in a good location, close to shopping and other attractions.

This hotel is very run down and in need of major updating. There is no restaurant as advertised, we did not have our room cleaned despite asking to have it done. When we came back after dinner to find our room hadn't been cleaned, we asked for clean towels and were told there were none to give us. The pool was closed.l for repair. Our room had stained carpet, a TV that was at least 20 years old, and the bed was so broken down that I nearly rolled out onto the floor. The front counter wasn't even in use and had numerous boxes stacked behind it. The clerk was sitting behind a desk by the front door. We ran out of toilet paper and I called down to have another roll sent to my room. The clerk said they would have to see if they had any. This hotel should either do a complete remodel or it needs to close down. I would not recommend staying here.

Room was not worth 154.00. Keys barely worked...dogs walking around with no leashes....TV outdated....beds feel like they were stuffed with rocks.... won't go there

This place is a great choice if you need somewhere to stay for a few nights, but does have it's downsides. Here's a quick list to see if it's right for you...? Pros: big rooms, very friendly staff, decent location, great list of amenities, kitchen in the rooms, pool & hot tub, black out curtains so you can sleep, soft and hard pillows provided? Cons: unacceptable WiFi (it's 10mbs and cuts out every 30 mins), rooms have thin walls (had a family stay in a room next to mine and could hear their dog bark, kids play and adults arguing), room layout & decor is bit dated. If you get a good price, it's not a bad choice. But for me, strong WiFi is a must so it won't be on the top of my list in the future.

This hotel was very dated. The TV sets were the old CRT type. We asked for adjoining rooms because we were traveling with young girls that were 13 years old and under that needed supervision. But they put us in rooms that were 13 doors down hall. In both our rooms the air conditioner was not working and when we complained to the front desk, they sent a person up to our room. and all he did was turn the controls off and on again. And when we went down later to say the air was still blowing hot air, she just laughed and walked away. The indoor pool was more like a suana room. And the water temperature seemed on the warm to slightly hot side. Our stay and experience with this hotel was unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone staying there at all.

Okay this the best for the price we walked through five hotels in Killeen and this is the best! The renovations are being actively done to improve the halls. The rooms are very clean, smoke free, pool is great! Service was so accommodating!Noteworthy details: Attached is commerative memorial for those that lost there lives in the terrorist attack of Fort Hood. Great opportunity to remember those that fought for our freedom's.

Service was good and so is the location if you're wanting to go to the convention center. However, the hallways smell like a place where the sun don't shine. That carpet is screaming to be replaced. Overall a rather funky smell. Rooms are spacious, but dated.

The staff was very attentive. Classy, posh type environment. The rooms where very roomy and comfortable. My key had an issue (electronic card type) and when I brought it up to the staff. It was handled with expedience and professionalism. Thank you all for a wonderful time.
