This is a older hotel and I was told they were doing some remodeling. The WiFi wasn’t the best. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff were very friendly!Nearby activities: Killeen airport, food places, Walmart, interstate
Let’s start with I was a little concerned when I entered the building. First thing I noticed is that they are not using the hotel concierge desk but office desks on beside it. But it also gives you more of a personal connection too, so not a complete negative.Then the pool is closed for repairs. This was the main reason I booked an extra day so I could go swimming indoors. But again things happen.Andrea helped me get checked in and she is complete 110% customer service!...
There is a November 6 Memorial built directly next door to the Shilo. It was built by the community that was affected by the mass shooting that killed 13 people on what was then known as Fort Hood. No other memorial exists for these victims of murder by one of their own.
