Decent Food, But Lacking Value --->Ginger Sushi offers a decent dining experience, but falls short in terms of value. While the food quality is satisfactory, the portion sizes are disappointingly small for the price point. Additionally, despite the reasonable taste, it doesn't quite reach the level of top-notch sushi establishments. If you're looking for a quick sushi fix and don't mind the trade-off of quantity for quality, Ginger Sushi might suffice. However, if you're seeking a more fulfilling dining experience, you may want to explore other options in the area.

I went for lunch. I arrived at 2:35pm. Google advises that this location closes at 3pm and reopens at 5pm. As I entered and am standing at the tables (no one approached me at the entrance and no host seemed to be available) a young lady gets up from a back table where she was chit chatting with a server. She doesn't ask me anything and tells me firmly that they're closing in 15 min and I should come back at 5pm. I said "ok", " you're closed now and won't be able to serve me?" She seems bothered and says that she needs to ask someone. She goes to the back, comes back after a couple of seconds, and says sit at any booth. I ordered the teriyaki shrimp, and hot and sour soup. The soup arrived. It was delicious. Spicy and tangy with plenty of tofu and mushrooms and such. The bento box arrived and it was quite good. The vegetables were fresh in a savory brown sauce. The salad was good and had plentiful ginger dressing. It came with white rice which was ok. The shrimp, five medium shrimp, they were grilled to perfection. The teriyaki sauce was exquisite. Sweet and peppery, not like I've had before. The taste was refreshingly unique and tasty. Overall all the food was great and I will definitely come back just because of the food. I will need to come very early as to not get the nasty attitude of the server (Abby). If you don't serve after 2:30pm then you should say so somewhere. The menu clearly says lunch 11am to 3pm. Not til 2:30pm is or earlier.

Finally a good sushi joint in Kingwood!! The take out service was wonderful. Their drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. The quality of food was fantastic. The pork curry dish was full of flavor without being too salty! The sushi rolls are the best in the area! Can't wait to make this our regular spot.

We love having our sushi dates here. Best spot that we've been to in the Houston area for sushi. Fast friendly service and great prices. We've tried all the different Maki rolls, and we love em.

The restaurant is immaculate and with a quiet relaxing environment.. The wait was beyond great. She was friendly efficient and very professional. The menu has a great selection of entree dishes, sushi and appetizers. There was no waiting to get a table. The food is fresh, tasty and exceptionally done. I ordered a modified Poke Bowl and it was perfect. We had eaten here many times and also when it first opened and it has only gotten better. It is a good place to get away from the maddening crowds.
