I gave 2 stars because our waitress and other staff were genuinely kind humans and attentive! However, this was my first time at Z Tejas…and the quality of their food is subpar at best and very high priced for the poor quality of food. I don’t know I’ve heard others love it but I was not impressed with their food.

A not-no-hidden gem on I-35, this place has great food, but boasts a charming atmosphere and amazing service. I made reservations for brunch with my family. While I have ordered menu items for delivery, we took advantage of the buffet. It showcased a hybrid of traditional brunch dishes like pancakes and french toast and TexMex cuisine such as enchiladas, tamales, and migas.
Although the food is pricey, quality makes it worth the money. The server, Michael, was excellent! He accommodated our party with a good sense of humor and was very courteous. The bar appears to be a sports fan's dream displaying college football games from end to end. This would be a great spot to watch the national championship or Superbowl.
Finally, I was greeted by the owner, Randy Cohen and his family, who had just finished a meal. He seemed genuinely interested in my experience at his restaurant and was open to feedback. I highly recommend anyone take the opportunity to dine at this wonderful, family -friendly establishment. You will not be disappointed.

Took Over 20 minutes to be asked for a beverage, even more to bring it, ordered an entree and it took over an hour to arrive. My entire large table had been served& finished there food before mine arrived. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

Came in to try it for lunch and ordered a beer which came out warm and then when I ordered my food it took 20 minutes to get the food and I got the barbacoa enchiladas and the meat was super dry and not seasoned and the rice was way under cooked and very bland will never be coming back

Food is overpriced for the taste. Unfortunately, the sides taste pre-cooked, food tastes store bought. But the margaritas were great!
We had a great time at Z Tejas! We got to experience a Pokémon event with a delicious dinner and drinks. Mike gave us great customer service. Cris was very welcoming and kind when visiting this establishment.
