Was in town visiting for a few days, and found this little place. I'm usually not a fan of BBQ any place other than home, but figured I would give it a try. The Brisket was nice and a juicy, the pulled pork was good, the service was great. Nice little place to go have BBQ, would definitely eat here again if I was ever in La Grange Texas again.
We had a very large pulled pork sandwich and the loaded baked potato. The pulled pork was tender with a sweet, slightly smoky bbq sauce. The potato was loaded with butter, cheese , onions and sour cream. We shared both with some left over. Service was fast and polite.
Back Porch BBQ was a fantastic stop in La Grange, especially on the way to Houston. It’s not easy to find a really good, lean brisket, but this one was excellent—tender, flavorful, and smoked to perfection without being dry. The quality of the meat and the care in preparation really stood out. A great BBQ spot and well worth the stop if you’re passing through.
