First off, "authentic Italian" is a lie so blatant it should be illegal. I'm pretty sure my "lasagna" was a frozen dinner that someone microwaved for five minutes too long. The cheese was rubbery, the sauce was watery, and I'm convinced the "meat" was some kind of processed mystery substance.
But the food was the least of my problems. As I was attempting to choke down this culinary abomination, I noticed a little friend scurrying across the table. Yes, you guessed it, a ROACH. And not just one, but a couple of them seemed to be having a little get-together near the salt shaker. I nearly lost my already questionable meal right then and there.
Honestly, I'm surprised this place hasn't been shut down by the health department. I'm leaving with a stomach ache, a lingering sense of disgust, and a strong urge to shower in bleach. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. You'd be better off eating a frozen pizza from the gas station.
First time visit... need another visit.

Friendly staff and delicious pizza.
If you’re this is Italian I am Lithuanian. When did you put tomatoes in an Italian salad we could have made this at home for almost nothing. It’s crap the entree was worse than horrendous and definitely South of the border. We will eat the second entree tomorrow and I will give an honest review, good luck. The last local review did got over a thousand reads it may hae harmed them. We don’t have to put up with this. BTW the gal at the front barely had time to acknowledge me . Sorry to interrupt your day. My bike was over 50 to 60 dollars

Not impressed. The fried calamari was both overcooked and mushy. The dish had the flavor of spent fryer oil. Asked our server to remove an uneaten appetizer but no inquiries were made into why it was not eaten. Service was not attentive. I had to take flat ware, napkins, and plates from another table. One waitress was doing an amazing job while 2 others stayed behind the counter instead of taking care of customers and bussing tables. The tomato sauce had a very odd metallic taste. Wanted to enjoy my experience but was very disappointed.

The chicken parm was amazing! The service was courteous and attentive. The meatballs are tender and flavorful. Be sure to add a cup of olive oil and garlic mix to your order too. They have been under new management for almost a year now and it's been a huge improvement. If you like Italian cooked with love give it a try.

This is truly a diamond in the rough! We've had Italian food in Bastrop several times and this is the best we've had in Texas hands down. My husband grew up in an Italian family and he loves this place ;-). Worth the drive to La Grange for sure. Flavorful food and nothing tastes like it came from a can. I highly recommend this place.
