3 adults and 2kids, we all ordered different meals and each of us thought we got the best meal. Pulled pork tacos were amazing.

This is a good place to stop for a quick lunch at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is far larger inside than it appears from the outside. There is signage that implies that it is an "order at the curb and eat it outside" type of venue. I went up to the door to make certain that it really did have inside seating! The inside is dull and the tables a little spartan or "functional" and not very attractive. However, the staff is friendly and provides good service. There are not a lot of restaurant options on tis stretch of 71. In spite of a few negatives that are not all that bad, we will keep this one in mind when we are going to the Gulf.

Best BBQ IVE EVER HAD. Most people drive by because it is only a roadside stand... but you MUST stop. Better than anything I've had and I have been ALL over Texas. Don't waste your time driving to Lockhart or Austin to stand in line for 2 hours. Give Jonathan a try and you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

Nice area outside to eat which is important is this covid 19 era. The food was good. My wife had the sausage wrap and porch potatoes and enjoyed them. I had a patty melt and it was good it was the biggest I have ever had. Some in our party had the sliced brisket sandwich and said it was very good. My sweet potato fries were very good. Service was friendly but a little slow. We would eat here again.

I drive from Austin to Houston about once a week, and have stopped here three times because the barbecue is so good! The bark on the brisket is perfect, it has a beautiful smoke ring, and the fat is rendered to what pro’s call ‘meat-candy’. I always buy two half-pound brisket sandwiches… One to eat right away, and one to take home for the next day! I prefer to support entrepreneurs and small-business… Give this guy a try… You will be happy you did!

Small BBQ place with big time flavor!!! Perfectly priced for the quality of food. I had the Choped Brisket Sandwich with Cheese and I must say hands down best BBQ Sandwich I’ve ever had. If I’m ever in town again I will definitely be coming back here. Highly recommended this establishment.

Super awesome BBQ. I drove by about 10 times and finally stopped. I’m so happy I did! I got a pound of brisket and a pound of sausage and I also got a sausage sandwich and a delightful sample of the smoked pecans. The smoke pecans were very surprising and delicious in a quite subtle manner. The sausage was juicy and with just the right amount of spice, and the brisket blew me away as it literally melted in my mouth! I am thinking about calling ahead to see if I can order a whole brisket or two for an upcoming small gathering. I will definitely be stopping here again!

Stopped by this morning to grab three brisket sandwiches for my daughters and I. The brisket was so tender and full of flavor. Whenever you are passing down Hwy 71 make a quick stop you won’t be disappointed.
