Love this place. Perfect mid-way stop between Houston and Austin. Bakery is just fantastic. Wide range. Their freshly baked bread is simply superb.

This place is absolutely useless, I live in town and every time I went there to get a basic daily bakery item as bread they never have. So seriously what else you sell there? Either make more so don’t run out of bread at 11 -12 in the morning or stop falsely advertising your business so we don’t waste our time visiting your place and counting on such essential needs.

Today 12/30/2025 around 8 am my wife and I ordered some kalachis. The lady working the counter was already mean as hell. At the time we where the only people in the whole store. She was so rude. I have been stopping at this stop probably over 40 years and have never been treated this way. I will never stop at this store again. If she hates her job maybe she needs to find new one or she needs training to greet customers

We stopped by yesterday to get some baked goodies to take back to Rockport and was very disappointed. The two ladies at the bakery side took our order but were grouchy and acted like they didn't want to be there and the cashier was just as bad. It was only 1:30 in the afternoon.

I was disappointed with the peanut butter cookies. 1st time tried. More like sugar cookies with a little hint of peanut butter. Fruit kolaches and homemade whole wheat bread the best

I love Weikel's. My wife and I often stop between Houston and Austin. First, I like their old-school Czech kolaches the best out of the ones I've tried, including another shop in La Grange and the ones you can get in West, TX.
Yesterday, my wife and I tried the deli for the first time. Maybe it was my mood, but my turkey sandwich on a Weikel's roll absolutely hit the spot. The turkey lunchmeat was fresh and delicious, not the weird artificial-tasting flavorless kind you sometimes find.
My one critique, I do not like their white chocolate macadamia nut cookies at all. Kind of stale tasting and they just taste a bit sweet rather than like macadamia and white chocolate.

Best kolaches(kolace) I've had. Dare to say, better than my grandma made back in Moravia, Czechia when I was little.

My wife ordered a baked potato online for her lunch break. She wanted to save time & order it online so all she had to do was pick up & pay then she could go about enjoying her food & break time like everyone else. She got there 20 minutes after placing the order. Plenty of time to prep a baked potato right? Well when she got in & got to the pick up line at the deli the employees had no clue about her order & didn’t know what she was talking about. They told her to wait while they tracked down her order…20 minutes later after waiting for an answer one of the deli workers finally told her “Oh we put it up at the front for you.” So they waisted 40 minutes of her lunch break over a baked potato. What a joke. We won’t be back, we’ll just go to Texas One Stop where it doesn’t take 40 minutes to get a baked potato that was ordered online ahead of time. Thanks Weikels. One less place in town for us to spend our money at.

The bakery is awesome. Always good food there. They have breakfast tacos available also. They make other things for lunch, have salads ready to go. Good assortment of convenience store snacks. Not as big assortment of drinks/beer, compared to other convenience stores in my opinion. But nice place, clean restrooms.
