I love Weikel's. My wife and I often stop between Houston and Austin. First, I like their old-school Czech kolaches the best out of the ones I've tried, including another shop in La Grange and the ones you can get in West, TX. Yesterday, my wife and I tried the deli for the first time. Maybe it was my mood, but my turkey sandwich on a Weikel's roll absolutely hit the spot. The turkey lunchmeat was fresh and delicious, not the weird artificial-tasting flavorless kind you sometimes find. My one critique, I do not like their white chocolate macadamia nut cookies at all. Kind of stale tasting and they just taste a bit sweet rather than like macadamia and white chocolate.

My wife ordered a baked potato online for her lunch break. She wanted to save time & order it online so all she had to do was pick up & pay then she could go about enjoying her food & break time like everyone else. She got there 20 minutes after placing the order. Plenty of time to prep a baked potato right? Well when she got in & got to the pick up line at the deli the employees had no clue about her order & didn’t know what she was talking about. They told her to wait while they tracked down her order…20 minutes later after waiting for an answer one of the deli workers finally told her “Oh we put it up at the front for you.” So they waisted 40 minutes of her lunch break over a baked potato. What a joke. We won’t be back, we’ll just go to Texas One Stop where it doesn’t take 40 minutes to get a baked potato that was ordered online ahead of time. Thanks Weikels. One less place in town for us to spend our money at.

The bakery is awesome. Always good food there. They have breakfast tacos available also. They make other things for lunch, have salads ready to go. Good assortment of convenience store snacks. Not as big assortment of drinks/beer, compared to other convenience stores in my opinion. But nice place, clean restrooms.
I got a lemon meringue pie yesterday and it was so delicious!!! We loved it!! Thank you!!

Everything we looked at in the bakery area had NO pricing marked! Its a busy place and having to go inquire about the cost of items in the store is a hassel!! Part of our purchase included a couple items that were clearly labeled 25% off, however, we were charged full price. After the transaction, we brought it to their attention and it took over 10 minutes and 4 employees involved in getting the difference refunded. As well, these kids now-a-days cannot do simple math! 25% of $28+ tax is over $7.00. The young lady figured it at $5.16, which is what she calculated. She could have easily Googled 25% of $28, but that was obviously too difficult. 🤔🤷♂️

They tried to charge me $38.00 for a box of DEF. It should be about $12-$15. They have some of their products priced wrong. Be aware.

Great homemade food. Clean, area to sit outside and inside. Convenience store. Bakery and grill food items.
This has been a family travel stop for many years. The highway access requires your attention, but it is convenient. I usually have to allow time for the girls to go through the clothing shop.
The bakery is very good, but don't ignore the sandwich counter. Our sandwiches have always been fresh ingredients on bakery bread. When you're driving for hours, the right sandwich is a wonderful thing.
