We got the seafood platter and a catfish and shrimp combo.
Unfortunately, we were both sick just a few hours later and in the bathroom most of the night. Obvious food was not up to safety standards.
Don't plan on returning.

Po boy shrimp was bait shrimp was the tiny freeze dried shrimp oyster some was OK then some smelled oldI was really looking forward to a good simple po boy ..this was not it.

Nothing seasoned, used small shrimp and patted down to double batter and make into jumbo shrimp so mostly batter. Fish was just nasty. Mac n cheese was so underwhelming but looked great! Red beans were wayyy overly salted. None of it fresh other than the corn. Won't be back.

Jess is a Superstar!
I recently had an experience with The Fish Place that went above and beyond typical restaurant service, and it's all thanks to their amazing manager, Jess. While the food itself was delicious, it was Jess's dedication and problem-solving skills that truly made this review necessary.
I had placed an order through DoorDash, and unfortunately, only half of my order was delivered. Frustrated and unsure of what to do, I contacted The Fish Place directly. That's when I had the pleasure of speaking with Jess.
From the moment I explained the situation, Jess was incredibly empathetic and immediately took ownership of the issue, even though the delivery error was on DoorDash's end. She listened patiently as I explained what was missing and didn't hesitate to jump into action.
What truly impressed me was that Jess didn't just shrug it off and tell me to deal with DoorDash (which, frankly, is what I expected). Instead, she went above and beyond to ensure I received the rest of my meal. Even after DoorDash seemingly left me to fend for myself, Jess personally made sure the missing items were prepared and got to me. Her commitment to customer satisfaction was truly remarkable.
It's rare to find a manager who is so hands-on and genuinely cares about their customers' experience. Jess was doing it all! She was helpful, proactive, and her willingness to resolve the DoorDash mishap personally was a testament to her excellent management and dedication to The Fish Place.
While the food at The Fish Place is undoubtedly worth trying, the exceptional service provided by Jess is a major reason why I will definitely be a returning customer. If you're looking for a restaurant with delicious food and a manager who truly has your back, look no further than The Fish Place. Ask for Jess – she's a superstar!
