I didn't actually go inside, but their parking spaces are top notch. The lemon yellow stripes used to designate the separation between the spaces is masterfully handcrafted. And the depiction of a blue & white crippled stick figure, while controversial, is a breathtaking masterpiece reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel. I highly recommend everyone experience parking here at least once in their lifetime.Parking: Exquisite

Absolutely love the food. I live near Webster and make a special trip for their oxtails and other foods. The quantity, price, and taste are all good. Yum!I gave 4 stars for atmosphere only because it's relatively a small place with a few tables. It's mostly takeout and that's just fine with me.No I'm not related nor do I work for them. I just know what I like. Good tasting food with decent quantities and price.

Just tried Mama’s for the first time…feeding a crew of contractors and our family. Amazing food. I can not say enough about how welcomed I was made to feel. We recently moved to Texas City and are always looking for new food experiences. Mama Frances WILL NOT disappoint. “Straight off the bat” I was offered a generous sample of seafood pasta. It was amazing. No pretenses. Just great cooking, righteous seasoning, great quality, and great portions. I need to get on a first-name basis, lol. Everyone who came in while I was there was called out by name…that’s what I love. That’s what want. And I WILL make it happen. ?

We've tried almost all of the soul food restaurants in the greater Houston area and just so happened to be down near Galveston and we stumbled upon this little gem.Mama Frances Soul Kitchen is by far the best soul food that I've eaten since I've been in Texas and I fully understand why Yelp rated them number 19 out of all the restaurants in the state last year.

There's only one choice in my mind for Catering and that's Mama Frances. They went above and beyond for My wedding. They opened the store on their day off. They cooked food fresh that morning for us. They brought all food to bolivar peninsula, serving plates, dining plates, drinks, napkins, and at the end they cleaned everything up. The food was phenomenal. I didn't have one guest including the kids not like the food. If you have a big event and need to cater there is only 1 choice.

We love soul food and this is BEST we've ever had!! Started out with huge serving of delicious complimentary cornbread. My friend had a cup of gumbo (which he said was excellent), smothered steak, which you could cut with a fork...his sides were mixed greens & sweet corn. I enjoyed meatloaf, mashed potatoes, lima beans & mac n cheese....all wonderful!! Niece had smothered pork chops, which is one of their specialty dishes...absolutely delish!! Took coconut pie and banana pudding home for later. Owners were so friendly and accommodating...just can't say enough good things about this place!!

The stuffed pork chops where delicious the corn lacked a little more salt or flavor, something was missing. I would definitely go back and eat there though. The staff was extremely friendly and fun to talk to.
We walked in and were welcomed with smiles and laughs. It smelled wonderful and we were starving. Food was definitely beyond what we expected and we will definitely be coming back .

Stumbled on this great restaurant on my way back from a cruise in the area and it was AMAZING, and not only the food, the customers, the family working, everything. Must try!! Can't recommend it enough!
