Hands down, this is one of the best restaurants in LaPorte! I come here for both professional meetings and personal time, and every single visit is top-notch. The service is unmatched the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome every time you walk through the door.
Dorothy, my favorite bartender, deserves a special shout-out. She's not only an incredible bartender but also someone who truly takes care of guests. I once requested a drink I love from another restaurant, and Dorothy didn't just replicate it she made it even better and added her own touch, which my friends and I absolutely loved.
The owners, Ed and Jodie, are also a huge part of what makes this place special. They're always present, checking in to ensure everyone is having the best experience possible. You can really tell how much they care about both their customers and the community of LaPorte they support the city in so many ways.
Whether you're looking for a great meal, an amazing drink, or just a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant is it. Highly recommend!

Ed’s Bistro was at a golf tournament we attended today and presented the most amazing -most delicious -most variety-most meatiest board I’ve ever seen! It was so very very delicious and l will make a point to go to La Porte to try his brunch as the menu looks delicious! And if it was anything like what he had on this board I KNOW it will be scrumptious! We also had the pleasure of meeting Ed himself and when I Tell you he was the kindest man !!!!! It was a huge pleasure to sit there and chat with him! If this is how he is in 99 degree heat (or it felt like it ) I know he will provide the best customer service in his Bistro!

An old friend and I were looking for a place to have brunch this morning after Mass in La Porte, Tx. I wanted to go to a local place and we found Ed's Bistro's opening as we passed it. We quickly made a U turn and went in. The atmosphere was beautiful, very inviting, almost like walking into someone's dining room. The service was qick and friendly. The staff and owner were kind and attentive. I had the Lox and bagel full of rich cream cheese, salmon red onion capers. The coffee was delicious and the staff kept the cups full. It was my first time here but certainly not the last. I highly recommend for a different type of breakfast an oasis in the desert.

Horrible place were the owners and their friends get totally drunk and make dining uncomfortable. Also serves spoiled food and follows absolutely no safety and health standers. Have plenty of pictures and videos of the kitchen and the food conditions being absolutely unsanitary. Very happy to send out the proof whoever would like it.

The food is wonderful, but the woman who also owns the restaurant is always obnoxiously drunk and it causes so much drama. Ed, brother, I feel sorry for what you have to put up with. The bigger Mexican girl is always taking majority of the tables as well for some reason which leads me to believe the servers are getting pinched out of money. Id eat here more if the drunkard was gone and the staff was treated fairly, the food really is good.

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was great. The owner, Ed, visited our table several times to visit with us. He personally prepared the bourbon flight that we ordered. We will definitely return with friends and family.
