It is located on the second floor so might get your steps in but overall recommend. Reasonably priced and down the road from the battle ship if your in the area and looking for something to eat. There can be a line to get on the fairy but that’s not really an issues just more to see!”

I typically buy a pound of Barbacoa, a medium cup of refried beans, Pico or salsa and a dozen hand made fluor tortillas. The cost is about $25 and feeds about 4. I am mentioning this because some ppl think they only sell single tacos. They also sell plates and have an area to sit at if you choose to eat their but its not a restaurant so dont expect to get service while eating there and clean up after yourself or simply carry food to go. They have a meat market if you want to take food home to grill or cook yourself. I like buying the fajita meat there, they thin it out for you if asked. “It was busy, but we snagged the only open table and our waitress, Tammy, had our drinks out in seconds! Hot food in minutes. She told us about the specials and we all got the super slam. Bottomless quick coffee refills, and perfect eggs -heavenly. It was hot and fast, and on a busy Saturday morning I was impressed. Thanks Tammy! 5 star service.”
“Full and fair disclosure is that I am not a fan of Kroger but fair is fair. My wife was hankering for chicken, NO she is not pregnant!!! Refer to Sarah for you Biblical scholars. So off I went to Walmart to get their 8 assorted chicken pieces at their deli. Please note it was 1pm lunch time and they had none. They AND my wife forced me to order from Kroger. Their delivery was fast and the chicken was hot, fresh and juicy. I was definitely super impressed. I posted a picture of the package (with missing pieces, I couldn't help myself). $8.99 for 2 pounds. Not a bad price to satisfy a hankering, hangry wife. I will definitely order their chicken again.”

“I have eaten the firehouse sub in Laporte maybe a year and a half or two years ago and really liked it and hadn't thought about it again until today when I was driving around and hadn't eaten anything all morning and I happen to be going right by it and I pulled in it is a very nice clean restaurant they have a large number of options for sandwiches from clubs to the steak and cheese and poor boys. There was a kid maybe 10 or 12 working the cash register and his brother over helping prepare the The sandwiches I asked him how he got a job there at such a young age and he pointed and said that's my mother. I called her aside and said look I'm very proud of you for doing this in boys will be better mentor someday and I told both them boys I am glad to see you here You will learn something here you can't learn anyplace else. As I expected the sandwich was exemplary I had a pickle that was very good had that homemade taste. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a good sandwich shop.”

I had thought I was ordering from the Pasadena location and ended up ordering it this location instead. As soon as I realized my mistake, I called the store and asked if it would be possible for them to wait on making the order because it would take me about 20 minutes to get there. 20 minutes later I arrive at the store and they were super amazing and nice and made my order fresh! Upon entry the place was very clean, we were seated fast because not many people where there, which came as a surprise since the Astros game was on. Our waitress was new, it was her first day, she was so great! Very attentive, but not hovering. Overall experience was exactly what we were hoping. Very pleased.”

“I got the pulled pork sammich ;) with Cole slaw on top.. it was literally the best I've ever had! **and I've tried at least 15 different places all over the south in my life so far at 42.. it was so big I had to seriously study it figure out how to fit it in my mouth. I would give 10 stars for the food if I could! Eating area is like a standard BBQ/diner place,with some cute quirks.. they have a bench made out of long horns, was super neat. Price was definitely fair, that sammich ended up being my lunch and dinner. Will 100% go back again! Next time I'm bringing the hubby and my kiddo with me for sure!”

“Gotta say this is by far the cleanest Chilis I’ve ever been too! However the burger, ordered it pink and it came crusty and well done. Cheese was dried up. Chilis exists because of this burger. Hope they can show the old timer some love in the near future. We need a juicy patty and some melted cheese please.”
