I just ate at this location, and it was awesome. I SAW THE COOK AND I KNEW HE WAS GOING TO COOK GOOD. The food and service were awesome. The beers are crisp. Definitely fet the crawfish and fried mushrooms. Definitely a must try

The Crawfish Hut is now the kitchen inside of Rainouts, a “blue collar” bar in La Porte.I picked up crawfish to go last year from the old location, which was muddy, dirty, and smelled to match. The crawfish were good though and I brought them home so no big deal.Went again last week to take advantage of a Facebook special posted that day…5 lbs for $25. In capital letters after that it said “NO TAKEOUT FEE.”Long story short, $30 in takeout fees were added to my 30lb to go order. The waitress said she knew what I was going to say when I told her I had a question. According to her, she had already asked her boss and there was nothing that could be done because the Facebook post was a mistake. She was nice enough, but obviously I was still not pumped about that.In the end, the crawfish weren’t great, which shouldn’t be surprising considering they were cooked out back by some young kids in a trailer that smelled like rotting fish.Overall, they pulled one over on me and I will not be back.

Do not recommend. Owner can’t take criticism, and will call your job if they don’t like what you have to say. NEWS FLASH… take those critics into consideration to be better. Guidrys and Spud Shack are way better

When someone leaves a bad review the Owner takes it upon themselves to hunt down where the reviewer works and threatens their business. Completely unprofessional. Nobody should be a patron here. If you can’t take criticism and grow from it then you shouldn’t be running a business.

The manager or owner is incapable of hearing criticism. It was too busy to manage yesterday, the food was terrible, and the service non-existent. When brought to the waitstaff 's attention, nothing was done. When people posted reviews, he went sideways and started calling people's place of employment to all but threaten them. CRAZY!!

Crawfish dirty and ubderseasoned. They just poured seasoning on top of the crawfish. Owner/restaurant needs improvement, in customer service and restaurant management-- won't be going here again.
