I haven't been excited about food in a while, at least not enough to take time to write a review about it. This place is awesome! When I first saw it show up on google, I thought, with a name like that, I've gotta give it a try. It still took a couple more weeks before I decided, ok, today's the day. Very glad I did!
I was originally hoping to have a sit-down, indoor meal, but when I got there, the place was so cool looking they way they have it set up. It's like a street vender, mixed with a cool country patio with plenty of space for a lot of people.
The menu threw me off at first. No lie, I showed up thinking Thai/Chinese type of foods only to see a prominently Indian, Indonesian, and Mediterranean list of offerings. I decided on their Chicken Tikka Masala and some Chicken Satay. The Satay was done first and brought out to the table by one of the couple's kids, and I promptly scarfed one down as if I'd never had it before. they were delicious and the peanut sauce tasted home-made (as I'm sure it is, like everything else here). Everything was cooked right behind the counter on an open charcoal flame grill and the flavor is remarkable! I had the Tikka Masala as takeout, got home and it was still piping hot (15 min drive). The container was lined with foil and covered in a way to prevent it from leaking in the car, and it was stuffed full of food. Great value for the cost with as much food as they provide. I love Asian foods and I go to various restaurants all over San Antonio, Austin, and anywhere else I tend to travel to and this Tikka Masala with the chicken cooked to perfection had some of the best flavor I've ever had.
Needles to say, I knew this place would be a staple for the Friday and possible Saturday cravings.
Now they offer Meal-Preps and I got in for 10 meals. I just had the first one, Chicken Kabob with rice and Tzatziki sauce. Since the meals are frozen, they should last a few weeks, though in my case, they'll be taken to work and gone in 2 weeks. The heating process takes a while from frozen; first it needs to thaw out which took a good 8 or so minutes on a low power setting on my Micro, then a good 3 minutes at a higher power (never max power) to get it up to eating temp. If you toss it in at full power, it'll end up overcooking the outside and stay frozen in the middle, so learn the lower power settings on your microwave. Alternatively, take one out of the freezer and place it in the fridge overnight and then by lunchtime the next day, it should be thawed out enough to only need a few minutes at 60-70% power in the micro. Add about 1/4 - 1/2 shot of water prior to heating anything with rice to get it a little softer.
It's all about the food. This amazing couple and their kids are operating an awesome and unique to this part of the world, dining experience that, in the cooler months, will be a fantastic venue to treat your tastebuds.
Thank you for the wonderful meals!

A hidden gem on the edges of town. This wonderful little alfresco dinning spot features Indian cuisine with a Malaysian flair. The cooks/owners have created a dine-at experience with tables nestled under canopies, tents, and trees. Or, if you prefer, take out. The food is heavenly, and I highly suggest the gulab-jaman (secret, ask them to heat it up, you won’t regret it). I look forward to tasting the whole menu!

We live in SA and happen to drive out here for the day house shopping and found this hidden gem. Food was absolutely delicious and made fresh to order. My sister ordered the chicken fried rice and I order the chicken kabob with veggies. I also ordered their sparkling strawberry drink. Not overly sweet and made with fresh strawberries. Great vibe and excellent choice of tunes on their speakers. This little place made feel like I was at a roadside food spot in Hawaii. It didn’t feel hot since they had fans with misters and it’s nestled off the main road under a ton of trees. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend this place! We tried it for the first time last night. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity for we received. We had the leftovers for dinner tonight, and reheated was STILL amazing! You may have to wait, but they make their food by hand, and it's worth every, single, minute! Hands down DELICIOUS flavors! Try this place. We are hooked.

We love Hangry Asian! Everything is fresh and delicious! My favorite is the Chicken Satay with rice and a tasty salad with a sweet and spicy dressing. Highly recommend!!

The food was excellent! Tender chicken and flavorful. The outdoor venue is nice: shaded with string lights and small tables. The only drawback we've experienced is the wait. I ordered online 1/2 hour beforehand and still had to wait another 1/2 hour when I got there. Best I could tell, I was the only customer (maybe one other?).
We'll keep going back (we've been twice) because the good is great but we know to factor in a long lead time for the food preparation.

Parking: Look for the parking direction sign once you turn off Hwy 87. It looks like you should drive straight in but you actually need to immediately turn right and drive along a little dirt road, parallel to the highway, before you get to the parking area.

Super nice people, beautiful little outdoors area, and the food is always amazing. Their spicy chicken sandwich and wrap for lunch are incredibly flavorful. Our favorite dinner items are tiki masala and any kabob plates.

Busy on a Friday night. It took a while to get our food but it was hot and delicious. Hopefully they are able to expand, they would do very well with a larger kitchen.
