We got sat and was over 8 mins before anyone even acknowledged us. The table behind was sat after us and got service right away.
Our server barely ever came to check on us. Had ask three times for a soda asked at the beginning and then had to track her and somebody down to get refills.
My friend asked for a med rare steak , came out med well. The baked potatoes were not cooked all the way so had to return my first one.
When you cook fries they should bebrown on the outside n not cold on the inside.
Carne guisada normally should have a gravy not watered down ground beef. Asked for flour tortillas was bought corn that wet and nasty.
All around will not be back. You would be better going to another Mexican restaurant down the road or Witties for home cooked.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The cowboy theme is great . Flautas were super good and look like a 20 dollar meal but it was only 9 dollars. We got in and we were seated immediately. It took less than 5 minutes to get our food. Super good food for not an expensive price. Sara Beth was a great waitress .

Saw a roach. Service was sweet but I didn't even touch my plate. Enchiladas had ZERO flavor. Rice had no seasoning and the pathetic refried beans were watery and gross. Won’t return. Workers are all kids that don’t do their job. Do NOT eat here.

I think this is the best all around restaurant in La Vernia. A I says the service can be slow, but I have been here many times over the past 5 years and I find the service excellent. Their Mexican food is definitely the best in La Vernia too.

Best restaurant bar in La Vernia texas. All the food is really good.... Atmosphere is also very good....

The food was all right. the server made a mistake on our food and said it would cost us to make a new one. Will never come back again. Service was very subpar. I had to ask for an item that's supposed to come with my food. The Melanie burrito was drenched in sauce, which we asked for on the side the tortilla seemed undercooked. The portions of meat were small and were dry.

Food is not made fresh, the beans come from a can and the fish taco where dry. Wait staff where horrible. Our waitress disappeared once the food was served and never came back. The other waitress knew we needed refills and sauce for the dry tacos but they did not even looked at us and avoided eye contact. Finally our waitress came back to leave the bill but did not wait for us to give her the money. So we had to go to the front and pay. Had to yell at the counter to get her attention to pay. At this point I said “if they don’t want to take my money then I will just leave” Finally they took our money and did not want to give us change back. I’ll be damned if im leaving a tip for crap service. Especially when they add a service charge to your bill.

I've been driving past this place in one form or another for over 11 years. Always said I wanted to stop, so I apparently did it when there was a karaoke birthday party in the bar. Service was great, food was excellent (try the pechuga poblano), and the atmosphere...well it was a karaoke birthday party in the bar! I wish I were friends with the people. They seem very fun. If you're thinking of stopping by, DO IT!

Cozy place, excellent service, good food and affordable prices.

Terrible service! Completely ignored by wait staff until they pulled someone from the back to wait on us. By the time that happened, people who came in after us had received their food.

We are from Chicago and made the effort to go because of the reviews. It was a great ambiance, service, and food. We went to the bar for awhile and loved the folks we met with the drinks.
