Sammy's Mexican Restaurant

Sammy’s is a La Vernia staple. When I’m craving good Mexican food, this is exactly where I want to go…..every time! They are consistently good and I never leave disappointed.

Their breakfast tacos were delicious but my reason for the four stars is because of their price. Almost $25 for four breakfast tacos 😳.

So I ordered 60 tacos, hot sauce for my crew this morning. My order came out and apparently I was missing 4 of those tacos. I found out as I was leaving and almost getting on the main road and saw this girl running full speed towards my truck. Telling me a didn't get my four. Her name is Theresa and I am really impressed on her effort to get me the rest. That shows real dedication to the customers and my crew was really happy to get those tacos. They were so good all I saw was tin foil wrapping and empty hot sauce cups after about 5 minutes. Great job Theresa !!!!!

This wasn’t that great. The food was bland and the hot sauce was overly peppery and watery. The cheese wasn’t melted, the beans had no flavor, the tortilla was dry, and the bacon was thick and just not good. They don’t have eggs after 11 which seems like the easiest thing to make. The drive through was weird. They made me pull up from the window then back into a spot next to the drive through. Overall, not a good experience. It could be a great place so it’s sad!

I was very disappointed with this place. The food had no flavor at all, and the portion size was extremely small for the price. On top of that, the service was not welcoming or friendly. For a Mexican restaurant, I was expecting something much better. I won’t be coming back or recommending it to anyone.

This is not Mexican food is Taco Bell food

The food is bland no flavor and has a rancid smell . I was expecting good service but they were rude and inattentive

The restaurant is nice, but the food and service is horrible, if you speak in Spanish the employees see you in a bad way.
