First time trying this place. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, food was good, prices are average, tea was great. Overall, I like it and will return.

Always a great place to eat. Can be busy at times, but we'll worth the wait. Barbara is excellent, and plate portions are pretty great.

I knew this would be a great place to take some friends who had never been to Texas before and wanted to experience non-chain Tex-Mex. The neighborhood, building, decor, staff and quality of food was perfect. However, the mirachi band is too much. Way too loud. It doesn't need to be so loud. It was if the horns had to prove they could play loudly. I get it, when a mirachi band is playing you don't have conversation, but wow, it doesn't have to be so overwhelming. We will go back. Great place!

Sat down, took a few minutes, waitress took drink order. Noticed they asked other tables if they wanted chips and salsa but we were not asked. Disappointed

Had a mariachi band that was SO LOUD - way too loud. Chips were rancid. Service was slow. The brisket nachos were good. Guacamole was good, though a touch salty.

I've lived just outside of the town therein. For what do you 5 years? I've eaten at this place. Doesn't sometimes excellent food excellent service. I would definitely recommend swinging. By 2 get food there if you're hungry. I know the police officers really love that place. Sometimes you can see 10 or 15 cruisers park there during lunch time. Of course, not all the time, because one same place, all the time that they're pretty regular. You can find most of the locals there at one point or another

My friend & I decided to check out this place for lunch. Wait staff was very friendly...but that's the only good thing. We ordered 2 beef enchilada plates with 1 puffy taco & 1 crispy taco on the side, with an iced tea & a coca cola to go cups. We were asked if we wanted chips & salsa, we said yes. We were brought our chips & drinks. The chips were stale and old tasting and the serving amount was barley enough for one person much less two..a sign of things to come? Our lunch plates arrived after about 15 m & we were disappointed. The refried beans were watered down & runny. The enchiladas looked nothing like the menu, not red enchiladas but white & filled with Some Mystery Meat, it sure didn't look or taste like real beef. Color of this meat was light brown and looked like ground Turkey. The crispy taco meat was dark & consistent with true ground beef, both in looks n taste. The puffy taco fell apart upon first bite & again, the mystery meat was revealed. It looked strange with a light brown color tasted funky & was not true ground beef. The puffy tacos & enchiladas were not finished. Also, the tortillas were tough & hard to chew, you just couldn't eat them. I was never asked or offered a refill on my coca cola. Also, charged $2.25 for a 12 0z can of coca cola & a small to go cup. We were also charged for our chips n salsa. What a horrible experience. Would not recommend this restaurant & will not be going back. Eat & visit @ your discretion. Other reviews praise this place while others point out their inconsistencies. I'm with the inconsistent group. Good luck El Ranchito, keep serving up the crappy food & over charging.

We always have a good experience all across the board but this time the server quit coming so we had to flag one down and that waiter did take care of us the rest of our stay. The noise level was loud we could hardly hear other talk as there was a private party in one of the room and they had their own live music and karaoke. The noise level made the experience un comfortable.

Food and service are iffy, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's ok. People are always nice just wish the food was more consistent.

Our waitress was great, our food was okay, had to add salt just to get flavor in which was Cheese Enchiladas , just had no flavor
