Excellent food! Service was great. The Tuna Tostadas are unreal. Don’t be afraid, try them! Definitely a great add to Lago Vista!
After an exhausting day of volunteering and search and recovery efforts at LBJ Ranch in Leander, TX, Emily and I did what any tired, hungry Louisianans would do; we plugged “tacos near me” into Google Maps and hoped for the best. The food and drinks here are top-notch! After moving from Los Angeles, I’ve had a hard time finding a spot that serves my favorite—Don Julio 1942—but this place has it, along with an impressive tequila selection. On top of that, the food is absolutely fire. Highly recommend!

The Taco Bar offers a lively atmosphere with great vibes and awesome cocktails. Guests can start with chips and queso, described as smooth with great flavor and a little kick. The menu features elote queso and steak quesadillas that always hit the spot. Burrito bowls are packed with fresh ingredients and tons of flavor. Tacos are a highlight, with options such as the chicken and waffles taco, chicken fajita taco, steak fajita taco, Hawaiian Porkie, Barbacoa, surf and turf taco, and shrimp and steak. Many reviewers praise the seasoning and cooking of the meats, saying the chicken fajita taco is an experience and the queso blows other queso out the window.
The bar is small and intimate, with a beautiful setup and a strawberry basil mezcal cocktail that is sweet and smoky. The 2‑seater booths on the left create a cute date night feel. Service is above and beyond; staff greet guests immediately and serve food and drinks quickly. Even near closing time, staff remain friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located next to Lowe’s Market and is unassuming on the outside but surprising inside.
