Excellent food! Service was great. The Tuna Tostadas are unreal. Don’t be afraid, try them! Definitely a great add to Lago Vista!
After an exhausting day of volunteering and search and recovery efforts at LBJ Ranch in Leander, TX, Emily and I did what any tired, hungry Louisianans would do; we plugged “tacos near me” into Google Maps and hoped for the best. The food and drinks here are top-notch! After moving from Los Angeles, I’ve had a hard time finding a spot that serves my favorite—Don Julio 1942—but this place has it, along with an impressive tequila selection. On top of that, the food is absolutely fire. Highly recommend!

Based on the reviews, The Taco Bar is a restaurant with fantastic food and great vibes. The steak fajita tacos are amazing and hot, while the chicken fajita taco is described as an experience. The chicken and waffles taco and steak quesadillas also hit the spot. Guests love the house-made flour tortillas and say the queso is the best on the North Shore, with a smooth flavor and just a little kick. The elote queso is also a highlight. For drinks, the pineapple-jalapeno margarita is recommended, and the non-alcoholic Jeffarita is super good. Burrito bowls are packed with fresh ingredients and tons of flavor.

However, other reviews note the service is hit or miss, with the restaurant sometimes understaffed. There are mentions of not enough flatware and problems getting drink refills. Despite this, many guests feel the food is so good they think about it the next day and return for more. The 2 seater booths on the left offer a cute date night feel.
