WOW - first time trying Cowboy Restaurant, and I was blown away! Tried the Monte Cristo and Rueben 🤯😍 both items were insanely good!!! I highly recommend them! Glad we tried this place today. We will definitely be back!

The food was amazing here. Service and atmosphere were good (standard diner fare but no complaints) but you definitely need to come for the food. Top three best chicken fried steaks I've had and the cinnamon French toast was amazing.

We stopped on the way to Denton. Easy to park and get inside. Lunch time but they had a table and quick service. Good chicken fried steak with all the fixings, fish and shrimp basket was good and my son enjoyed a hearty breakfast with both pancakes AND biscuits and gravy! Nice little place to eat. Single restroom was working with a single stall so that was kinda a drag, but we endured the wait in line. Restroom was clean.

This is by far the best restaurant in Lake Dallas. Fried foods are crispy, portions are generous, price is fair, and they are very consistent. The atmosphere is traditional Texas diner, no frills. The restaurant staff is always friendly and I don't think they've ever messed up an order of ours.
This has turned into my family's favorite restaurant!

First of all, there was no bartender on duty so the drinks that were advertised on the table weren't available. Ordered two club sodas to drink. They were canned at 7.5 ounces each and we were charged a total of $5.16 for the two small cans. We did order an appetizer that was a chicken quesadilla and it was OK. I ordered a patty melt with fries. Patty Melt was so dry I had to dip every bite in ketchup to get it to go down. The french fries seemed to have been re-dipped very oily and not good. For the first time in my life I left half of the order of fries on the plate. My wife ordered liver and onions and ate about half of it. Textbook, canned brown gravy very pasty. Poor flavor and she was not even interested in taking what was left home. Her side of okra was OK. The side salad that came with it was very mediocre. We had two young servers and they were very friendly. Don't ever see us returning, and it was our first visit.

Had a wonderful healthy omlette. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. The banana was just right. They now serve alcohol.
Always good food the staff is wonderful. Prices are great lunch buffets are always great.

Solid choice, food was good, especially the chicken fried steak. The reason from the two star atmosphere is it when you drive up at least it looks like the place is closed due to the tinted windows. As I was almost finished, an elderly man walked in and obnoxiously said “ Is this place even open!” I thought you were rude, but people are allowed to express themselves however they want
I feel like this place is an awesome breakfast place and great for lunch but the dinner vibe is like they just extended their hours and some people come for dinner, but it definitely isn’t the busy time

I took my family here over this past Labor Day weekend. It was our first time here. We were seated quickly and the waitress wasn’t far behind Over all the service was good. There were a few times that we were left unattended, but I think it had more to do with understaffing. Our waitress was very sweet very kind and I have no problems with her. The food was cooked order in served nice and hot.. and good! It was a very comfortable meal! We were able to sit and talk for quiet awhile as it wasn’t very busy for a Saturday morning. Overall the only complaint I had was the price (showing my age) for a party of 5 the bill came to over $75 for a modest breakfast Loved the old downtown vibe

First time visit but will be a new frequent destination. Our party had a variety of dishes, and the universal sentiment was that everything was great. Service was great and attentive. Food quality was great. Atmosphere was a good old fashioned country eatery. We were very impressed and decided the drive from Lewisville was well worth it. This will go into our monthly rotation for weekend locations.
