This place is a hidden gem. The service was amazing, and the owner, Kevin, made a great first impression by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment I walked in. The food was outstanding—from the gumbo to the main course, everything was perfect. If you’re craving Cajun cuisine, this is the place to go.
What a hidden gem in Lake Dallas! If you want some of the best catfish, try Mrs. Lively's Cajun Konnection. It is off the beaten path but worth the drive and an added bonus, really close to a boat ramp to Lake Dallas. No frills, just good cooking. Try their award winning gumbo. Added bonus - its BYOB. The only negative is there is no signage out front but its the only place before the lake.
Walked up to this spot at the Wild flower festival in Richardson and the catfish did not disappoint. Real catfish with good Cajun seasoning...the owner was super friendly as well. Will definitely look for this place in Lake Dallas!
