They have difficulty cooking proper eggs over easy, and their scrambled eggs look and taste just like the ones we had at Boy Scout Camp. Cold bread with breakfast, unless you ask for them to heat it. More and more frequently their equipment is broken. Evidently they only have one latte machine here at the great La Madeleine, but would they have the courtesy to post that on the door or the line entrance; but of course NO!

Our group has enjoyed other La Madeleine locations before, but this one did not live up to our expectations. Our group payed separately for our food, but made sure to specify that we were all at the same table. Our food ended up coming out at wildly inconsistent times, with 2 dishes coming out at least 40 minutes after initially ordering. One of the dishes was the same thing that I ordered and it came out around 20 minutes after mine did after we had to ask about it. Three other tables that had payed after us all got their food before those two, even after we went back up to the counter to check on the meals. The two dishes were even supposed to come with pastries which the staff had forgotten about and we had to ask for them specifically. We even had two dishes come out made wrong, but at this point we were just ready to go rather than say anything and wait even longer. One person in the group got a dish with potatoes for the side, and when another asked about the same side she was told they didn’t have any. I don’t know if this was a front or back of house problem, but there was clearly a communication error between the two that needs to be fixed.

Visited this location on a Saturday evening. Christian was the person who helped me. He was short handed but kept a positive attitude and was getting the orders out timely. I was very impressed.

Dinner at La Madeleine was a disappointment. Crepe was poorly made and totally lacking in flavor and the French dip sandwich was average at best. We walked in to a messy dining room (at 6:00) with only one table occupied and several tables that had not be bused for some time. Service was poor and so was the attitude. Too bad!
