This place was a big disappointment. Went with friends for lunch. 8 French fries for $5.95 and the place was nasty. Floors were pool hall dirty. Tables were sticky and the chairs were too. Grabbing a chair to slide it in closer to the table and coming away with sticky fingers, that’s what I mean. Salt and pepper shakers were mini grinders but were so greasy and nasty I had to use a napkin to hold them. Wanted to get up and wash my hands after handling the salt and pepper and the sticky chair and sticky table but the bathroom was nasty too. Mirror had nastiness on it that hasn’t been cleaned since WW2. Bathroom was horrible. Sandwich was ok but that bread will crack your front teeth if you’re not careful. The 8 French fries were good, but at almost $1 each they should have come with a free movie and a car wash. Never again.

Bathroom nastiness. Big nasty paper spitball thing someone splatted on the ceiling above the mirror has been there for WEEKS. It’s awesome when you sit down to eat and your elbows stick to the table top. Place needs a good solid cleaning. And another cleaning.

I wouldn’t recommend eating the regular food here. I Iive in the area and I forgot why we don’t come here. Well I was reminded today, at lunch I paid 15$ for 3 frozen chicken strips, and fries that came with cold gravy. Their “gumbo” literally tastes like it’s out of a can, terrible. The desserts are good.

A little pricey but the food was good. I especially appreciated how soft the hamburger bun was. The burger was delicious

Disappointed in my last several visits. Paying $7 for a side of soggy sweet potato fries is not worth the money. Paying $14 for just a sandwich is concerning, especially when you can go to chilis and get the same thing with fries for the same price as just the sandwich.

Good food, sides are not included so the bill will add up. I was appalled I ordered my child a kids meal and got two chicken tenders and an individual apple sauce for $9. I ordered a side of fruit and got a tiny container (about 2-3 oz), I prefer to pay full price for a full meal. I spoke with the manager and she was apathetic and said that’s the correct meal. My Sante Fe wrap tasted great but included that tiny 2-3 oz cup as a side. Tables were not wiped down and visitors get their own food from the counter and throw away their table trash when finished. Will not return.

The Local just isn't what it used to be. The portions do not add up to the price. I've been ordering a Gold Rush grilled chicken sandwich for years. However, over the last year or so, it has gone from a whole breast fillet down to two, extremely thin tenders. The $6 side of fries was all of 10 decent size fries and maybe five small, crunchy pieces. The portions compared to price used to be well worth the expense. I know the cost of food has gone up for everyone, but when you can't taste the chicken because the bun (made for a bigger portion) overpowers the meat, it's no longer worth it. The other problem is that my order has been incorrect the last two visits. A first in the almost 2 decades I've been a patron. I had to repeat my order several times and it was still wrong when it came out. Plus, I had to argue with the cashier about what I was ordering because she kept trying to tell me I wanted something different - which would have cost me an extra $4 for the exact same thing. I have been highly disappointed the last few times I've been there. I think it's time to part ways and that makes me sad as it was one of my favorite restaurants.

The place feels modern and it is super clean. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner is from 5:00 on. They also have desserts: I love the Sweeties cookies! It is a little pricey, though.

Great food, I am usually a ribeye person, for marbling, but the filet was much better.
