Anytime in a smaller town that you have a waitlist when you open should be a testament that it is good. the food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. I am a chef and typically I try not to be hyper critical food and service was outstanding.

For a German restaurant the food was not very good or tasty. Schnitzel was hard to eat, salad was lettuce with tomato and cucumber. They don’t do any German desserts.

Just had lunch at Eve’s today. It was just as good as ever! Walked right in and sat down. Service was friendly. We had three different types schnitzel and all were excellent. Spaetzel , red cabbage and German potato salad were authentic German. We were all full, so we got desserts to go. Cheesecakes & Black Forest cake. Can’t go wrong! We stop in when traveling through town.

Eve's in fantastic. Amazing German food, great beer, ridiculously good dessert and a great ambiance. When we moved to Lampasas, it was definitely one of the top perks for me. They were out of dam near everything food wise and the waitress we had didn't even know what type of softdrinks they had. Definitely a decline from what it was in years past. Maybe it was just the new owners trying to get things lined up. Not sure, but was a definite letdown.
This was the best schnitzel I've had in years! Spatzle, red cabbage, fries, green beans, the German salad... everything was delicious and well-prepared. This is a gem of a German restaurant. I just wish they kept more brats on hand since they have been out of them every time we visit. Atmosphere gets 4 stars only because I do kinda miss some of the kitschy decor from before. But it's clean and nice and welcoming inside!

I ordered chicken fried steak and it was wonderful, the mashed potatoes were awesome! You can tell they used real potatoes and not instant! The gravy and steak had great flavor and was not over cooked! Great food
