We had really high hopes for this place based off reviews. We were very well pleased when we pulled up as it was a great venue. They don’t have a printed menu but the lady at the counter told us what they had for the day.
They must’ve had an off day but there was no ice in the cooler. Instead we were met with yesterday’s melted ice. The bread on our sandwiches were stale so that was disappointing. The soup of the day wasn’t ready, mind you it was noon and they opened at 11 am (closes at 2 pm).
Stopped in for lunch while I was in town and I’m really glad I did. I ordered the potato veggie soup and a ham sandwich on rye with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It came with my choice of chips or potato salad, I went with the potato salad and they even included a couple slices of sweet pickles and a fresh watermelon slice!
The ladies working were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The deli itself has a cozy, boutique feel that makes you want to sit and stay awhile.
For someone visiting from out of town, this was an awesome find. Highly recommend stopping by Sweet Pickle Deli!

Great stop for a quick yummy lunch! Quick service, good price. The pimiento cheese sandwich in wheat bread was tasty. Chips were fresh. Pickles were delicious. Would definitely stop here again.

We wanted to make a quick stop, and eat a lite meal before getting to the bigger city. This was a perfect stop. A sandwich, chips, and homemade pickles. Fresh and full of flavor. Chicken salad on rye bread. We’ll definitely be back. The sweet lady taking our order was very friendly.

This was my first time dining in this place, have always wanted to try it cause I’ve always heard good things. We first got here and we’re greeted with a warm welcome as soon as you walk in it’s very cozy with plenty of 4 top and 2 top tables and they have a 4 top table outside. As soon as you walk in you see the pick up counter where the food comes out, these sweet ladies took our order my husband got a burger he said it was delicious. I got a cold turkey sandwich with potato salad and wow the potato salad is very appetizing. The potato salad really leaves you wanting more along with the Dr Pepper cake, I am a die hard Dr Pepper lover.

I love the Sweet Pickle Deli! Carolyn Henry is the best. Her food is always outstanding and it's such a cool/quaint place for lunch. I'm a huge fun of everything, but her chicken salad and chicken fried steak sandwich are as good as it gets in my opinion. So glad we have this place in Lampasas!
