I travel from Weatherford TX to Blanco often but just noticed the a newer Whataburger in Lampasas and decided to swing by upon my return trip. I'm sure glad I did! I was in a bit of a hurry so I used the drive thru and was wowed by the great service! I had to use a $50 to pay so I wasn't sure they'd have change and asked the young man (Aiden) at the window. Went thru around 2ish. Busy with a steady line of cars. Ordered the jalapeno burger combo. Burger was good, but the fries were not fresh. Surprising given the fact they were so busy. Maybe the key is to request freshly cooked fries..? Disappointed.
Stopped at this location to have Whataburger for the first time in 5 years as I haven't been to Texas in a long time. The gentleman who took my order recommended the patty melt and it did NOT disappoint. Food was excellent, service was quick and very friendly. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
