woman's bathroom smelled horrible. waitress was amazing, but had an overload of people to serve. tables outside were filthy and trash on floor looked hideous for such a beautiful establishment. Definitely not going back.
The finest south Texas fare the U.S. Mexican border has to offer. The creativity combinations of Chef Pete Mims and his son Chef Richard Mims pull from the bounties of the gulf coast through to the generous brush country that we call home. Their passion for food is eclipsed only by the third member of the Mims trio, Will Mims, and his drive for a customer service experience that reliably delivers. From the sauces, sazones, and the always changing menu Border Foundry and its amazing team will exceed your expectations time and time again.
Paid $24 for the worst pasta I’ve had in a while lol. Our waiter was super friendly until he brought out the food? I don’t know if he realized that it wasn’t good and just didn’t want to talk after that or what lol. But he was nice. That was about the only positive part of this meal. Pasta was overcooked and slimy, chicken was gross and soggy. Hate to be a Karen but it’s deserved here!

Horrible service. They took forever to acknowledge and seat us (place was not full) and when they did they said we could only sit outside. We waited outside for idek how many minutes and no one ever came up to take our order. booo get better service 👎🏼
Overall, the experience at Border Foundry was enjoyable. The food was good, except for my plate. I ordered the ribeye, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations and definitely wasn’t worth the $60 price tag. My wife ordered the same steak, and there was a noticeable difference—hers was cooked to perfection and tasted great compared to mine.
On the positive side, my kids really liked their pizza, the cocktails were excellent, and the service was top-notch. One downside was the room temperature, it was uncomfortably warm throughout our visit. With more consistency in the food and a more comfortable dining environment, this could easily be a 5-star spot.

Good food but service felt disconnected. For the price you expect a better level of service.

Every time I come back to Laredo I have to visit this restaurant. Came on a Saturday afternoon, I sat at the bar, bartender was a great chat and very friendly. The food was ridiculously good! Ate the ribeye which was delicious and even had to take a Togo order for later on. Would recommend!

Border Foundry in Laredo offers a wonderful dining experience with a menu featuring a great variety of flavorful dishes. The herb-crusted salmon is a standout-perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection (yum!). Their crispy French fries are a must-try side. Their brick oven pizzas are fresh and delicious, and i love the thin crust and light cheese. The inviting atmosphere makes it ideal for any occasion. It is a great spot to enjoy bold flavors in a warm setting.
