They have a breakfast bar so it's a great place to eat solo if you're traveling alone. Otherwise, they have large tables as well. So, it's a great place for family or to meet friends or have a business meal/meeting.
Breakfast is my favorite meal and that's all I've had in my 5 visits. All 5 have been terrific. The rest of the menu looks really great and i can't wait to sample lunch and dinner entrees.

I just added new pictures on what we ordered. Fish tacos were okay, not my favorite. But it wasn’t bad. Then we ordered the Peruvian chicken, that was delicious and came with fries. And for the appetizer, we ordered the one with the goat cheese. That was my favorite!! A must try! We paid $73 including 2 drinks and a small side of fries.”

“If you want top notch authentic Mexican food then Palenque Grill is for you. The table settings are very nice and the atmosphere is cozy. Before your meal they don't just bring out chips and hot sauce. They bring out chips, three types of hot sauce, pico de gallo and a sample of their refried beans along with two crispy flour tortillas. Wow! They definitely go above and beyond on this. For lunch I had the enchiladas callejeras which are three soft rolled corn tortillas filled with fresh cheese, diced onion and a hint of oregano, smothered in its savory red pepper sauce, garnished with browned potatoes, carrots and refried beans. My meal came out hot and very tasty. The service here is very good and so are the prices. If you're in this part of Laredo and want some excellent Mexican food, than I would recommend to stop by here and give it a try.”

“This place is excellent! Our waiter was over the top. He encouraged us to eat on a few apps and sip on cocktails before oder our entrée. We had frog legs, seared ahi tuna, lamb kebobs, and seared scallops for the aappetizers. They were all of the highest quality and delicious. Some of the entrées that were notable were the grilled flounder with crawfish ettoufe etouffee and the tenderloin medallions over potatoes au gratin. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection.

The beef soup was really good. The hot sauce wasn't too hot and was an excellent compliment to the tacos. The price was very reasonable. Parking is adequate. The tables are a little high, so children may need a booster seat. I'll definitely return.

A reduced but well planned menu which offers a variety of Spanish food, including paella, charcuterie, wine and some beer. Family friendly but at the same time can be used for a romantic date. Sometimes they play live music (bohemian mainly but have seen they sometimes bring Flamenco shows too). Something different from the rest of bars where the same music plays over and over. It's worth mentioning that the entrance was not very easy to find, since they keep the door closed, but once you open it, you're transported to the other side of the world.”

I was impressed with the size of the Gulf of Mexico Red Snapper. A lot of deep fried options on the menu-in true Texas tradition. They do offer aguachiles and different seafood soups which Is nice to see. Chips and salsas are great. The guacamole salsa was one of the best I ever had. But I can go there at home so I asked the Hispanic person at the counter for a recommendation for a Mexican place. She mentioned a place near the hotel, walking distance even. I assumed being less than 5 miles from the US-Mexico border I was going to get some really good food. That is not what happened. It wasn’t bad food, they were somewhat busy so obviously people frequent the place. I can only assume it’s more of a regional thing that the locals enjoy. The chips were made in house, very hard. The 3 salsas were good so I give them that. My dish was bland, only standout was the refried beans. All of that to lead to the next day, my coworker and I met at the site we were to work at and when lunchtime came he found a place nearby. We were at a busy exit off of the interstate, several gas stations and restaurants but we saw 2 taco trailers parked with customers waiting and changed plans. We parked and went to one and ordered some of the best tacos I have had. 4 kinds of meat, great sauces, plentiful portions. Everything one would and should expect from a taco truck/trailer in south Texas!!!”

They have a breakfast bar so it's a great place to eat solo if you're traveling alone. Otherwise, they have large tables as well. So, it's a great place for family or to meet friends or have a business meal/meeting.
Breakfast is my favorite meal and that's all I've had in my 5 visits. All 5 have been terrific. The rest of the menu looks really great and i can't wait to sample lunch and dinner entrees.
