“This place was a great find for us during our short stay in Laredo. They have a large menu on which vegan, gluten free, and spicy items are flagged. We ordered guacamole with chips and pico de gallo (fresh made, not spicy) to start. We also had posole (delicious with a rich broth) and another veggie soup (tasty with lots of veggies). And we had one order of the crispy cauliflower tacos (crispy because of the shredded cabbage, not the cauli, and zesty chipotle sauce in top) that came with delicious charro beans (had bits of tofu in it so it reminded me of beanie weenie). Everything we had was delicious and we had leftovers for breakfast. One thing I really liked about the menu was that they had some dishes with faux meat but many without it (my preference). The service was good and the place was bright and clean. Highly recommend eating here.”

“A unique coffee spot nestled inside a local beer garden. Do yourself a favor and stop on by to try some specialty coffee drinks like the Cubanito and the Celia Cruz. While there are tables, you can also grab a seat at the bar or on one of the couches. They also offer books and board games to play with friends while you enjoy the afternoon.”

I was Greeted as soon as I entered the shop and I seated myself and I was waited upon promptly, I was given suggestions on what was frequently ordered and decided to order something else. It was a culinary delight, the smell, taste, and texture were perfect the noodles are handmade and it definitely brought me back in time. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good bowl of Authentic Ramen.”

I had a bowl of tortilla soup ($9) as my appetizer and shrimp aguachile ($20) as my entree. Both were delicious. Our girls got enchiladas suizas and my husband got a cup of tortilla soup ($4.50) and tacos de fajita and pastor. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The live music added pleasantly to the ambiance. We went to La Roca last weekend and didn't have a great time. I highly recommend this place.”

“Decorations added to the nice atmosphere as did the music. Their sevings aren't as large as other restaurants, but it's enough to fill you up. Some selections do not come with sides, so make sure to ask what your order comes with. The aguas frescas are really good and some can be requested without sugar. Do check the ingredients closely because some of the freshly made drinks are prepared differently than the norm. My mom did not like the horchata as it had some crushed nuts I think. The flavor was good, but she did not like the texture. Great customer service. Took my mom to eat and placed our ordet , but received a call from her doctor's office advising her appointment had been moved up. They offered to keep our food warm and put our drinks in Styrofoam cups to keep them cool. I paid, took my mom to the doctor, and came back to finish our meal. They did forget my side of refried beans (so did I in all the back and forth), but gave it to me to go. This location is going to start having live music, so Mom's looking forward to that.”

So I would recommend getting here at 11:30 a.m. or at 1:30 p.m. if you plan on doing lunch. The brisket was tender enough to cut with a plastic fork. The beans tasted just like my homemade beans. I will definitely revisit this barbecue joint next time I go to Laredo!”

Way better than Olive Garden (especially for the price) and it came out piping hot.We were the only ones eating there at the time, though, and it felt a little unfair to the establishment. “This was my first time visiting Taco Kissi in Laredo and it was 10/10 best place I've visited while my time there. The service was quick , no need for reservations because they have indoor & outdoor seating. They had a projector pointed to the main wall for people to watch the games playing with other TVs in the corners. The food was absolutely delicious, everything had so much flavor , each bite was great ! I even got two rounds of their chips & salsa because even the chips were great. Had a soft taco meal , with two sides of jalapeño wrapped bacon, & my boyfriend ordered the California sushi roll. Everything was amazing, the food , the service , & the atmosphere”

I said Dr. Pepper and she took my drink and refilled it for me then very pleasantly wished me great rest of day!!! It was almost like my one of my own Nana's was serving me and I left feeling really good, smiling! I walked out to my semi truck parked Bobtail in their parking(which has 4 or 5 truck parking for straight trucks or Bobtail semi trucks, so a big plus there. But when I began eating, food was hot, delicious, and was plump and juicy, burger actually looked like the photograph up on windows and order board!!! Man I was really impressed by the care and dedication every employee seem to strive for to make your meal and your time at this establishment the best it can be!!! FOR REALS!!!Place was spotless by the way! Both inside and out!! I got to Laredo frequently and you best believe I'll return to this Whataburger when I do come to town...I live a block away from a Whataburger in Tucson Arizona, they can't hold a candle to this Laredo Whataburger!!!Alright! “Took my daughter for lunch. First time actually eating in at this location and it was very good. Food was excellent, service was quick. Plenty of seating even during busy lunch time. What was really nice was the lady who tends to guests while their eating. She saw my little girl and noticed that she had a broken finger in a splint, softball injury, and gave her a Chick-fil-A stuffed cow ornament. So nice and my daughter was so happy. Little things like that mean alot, especially to a 9 year old. Great experience!!!”

“Great mexican fine dining experience. If you're looking for a place to have a nice and fancy dinner with great cocktails, this is the right spot. To start, we got the "Ostiones Rasurados" that come with some serrano peppers and onion salsa, they were very fresh. As main dish, we got the "Rib eye with bone marrow al piquin", we asked for the rib eye to be cooked medium rare but unfortunately they brought it fully cooked which made the meat to taste a little dry, however, the flavor itself was pretty good tho, it also came with asparagus nicely cooked, some Charro beans which was pretty good as well. Additionally, we got the Grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor too, it came with grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes (this last one was just plain good, nothing outstanding). To drink we got a few cocktails, one was the Gin Pink, which I loved, my partner got a couple of Mezcal cocktails (can't recall the name) and both were pretty good. Finally we got a Carajillo that was extremely good, we loved to have it after our dinner. The service was good, a little slow but might be because the place was pretty crowded. Prices are high but the quality and quantity you get for what you pay is definitely good. We'll definitely come back to try out more dishes and cocktails.Vegetarian options: There are just a few vegan/vegetarian options in the menu, such as guacamole, roasted cauliflower, however, at brunch time (Saturday and Sunday from 12-2:00pm) they have vegan chilaquiles”

“This was my first layover here in Loredo. I decided after checking into my hotel to explore the area for some good food and shopping. This restaurant luckily was right outside my hotel doors. Upon opening the door to the restraunt, there was a female employee wiping and sanitizing the food menus. I asked to take a peek at one while I decided to stay and dine or continue exploring. The first thing I saw was the mangorita, then the Mexican style shrimp meatball soup caught my attention. After looking over the menu w/ a little Spanish translator app, I was able to ask questions about some food and drink items that were on the menu. The nice gentleman waiter and female employee cleaning the menus were very accommodating, understanding, and patient w/ me. Immediately after I decided to try out this restaurant, I was then escorted to a booth in the dining area. The restaurant had so much character. Was very large, open, welcoming, and definitely represented the Mexican culture in such an upscale way. Upon being seated, another waiter came up to introduce himself and asked me my drink order. I ordered a mangorita. Within jus a couple minutes I was brought some fresh fried tortillas, as well as tortilla chips w/ assortment of dips, refried beans, fresh pico de gallo, avocado sauce and some fresh halfed limes w/ a hand held citrus extractor. Shortly after that, my drink was dropped off and looked yummy. For my meal, I ordered the albondigas de camaron (aka shrimp meatball soup). The soup was very filling and full of flavor, which was so delicious. I definitely recommend stopping by and dining at this restaurant. Can't wait to visit here again and try other menu items ?”

I wish I ordered a few cornbread. There was a hiccup though. I ordered a traditional (bone in) wings and got boneless chicken. Ordered and paid for a pint of beans and got the smallest size. And never received the strawberry cheesecake dessert I ordered. Had it not been for those mishaps they would have earned a 5 star ratting and I would have been totally satisfied. Like all Hooters, their hottest sauce is hardly hot, but it tastes pretty good. It's been years since I've been to a Hooters and this was a good experience. If I'm in the area again I will go back.”

“I was searching in the internet for a cake place that can custom-make a cake for a nurse friend. Cakes of Glory came out on top of the search list. Rightly so, I told myself, when I arrived here. Even before entering, I was already impressed with its classy facade. Doubly impressed was I when I saw the fabulous interior and I talked to Maria who was very accommodating. She gave me the iPad to look through the cake designs which were all beautiful. Ready with the cake design I wanted, I told her I need it early this week. Disappointment set in when she informed me they are close on Mondays. She further said they need two weeks notice. Those are helpful info, I told her. I did not want to leave their cake shop without buying anything. So I bought a chocolate cupcake which is just a regular cupcake, nothing extraordinary. Perhaps the cakes will be tastefully delightful… which means one of these days, I need to return there, order a custom-made cake and taste it. Hopefully I will be truly delighted like most of their clients.”

“Had never had Freddy's before. Walked in and was greeted by their employees. Looked at the menu and decided to try everything onji their menu. Everything was better than expected. Burgers, hot dogs, curds, chicken strips, chili cheese fries and their sauces. I'm totally heading back to try the rest of their burgers. Ending up getting the Jalapeno pepper jack burger but made it into a triple meat. Customer service was spectacular and will be back for more. We tried the Lobo, caperucita, margarita, and Bosque cocktails- all delicious and refreshing. My personal favorite was the Little Red Riding Hood. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
