This morning I was hungry and I'm the kind of guy I love to speak to strangers been doing since I was a child! But as I poured my self some coffee i smelled it and obvious their using laredo water without boiling it to take out the odor! But I guess hot coffee is safe but the tacos ok service is OK and what do you their as inexpensive as possible God Bless yall.
Look, I don't live in Laredo anymore. But when we went down to visit, the one thing that was non-negotiable was visiting Chalu. I didn't even visit my grandfather , ok? Get the ternera burger, and you might forget about your family too. ?My dad had the menudo, and the bit of broth i tried was excellent. Great service as well.
I remember stopping by this place once or twice as a kid, but you can say this was my first time here since. I know some die-hard fans of this local treasure may not like that I wasn't too impressed with their tacos, but I did really enjoy their menudo. My wines a la Mexicana with cachetada of frijoles was a bit skimpy as well as the barbacoa. Tortillas were not as fresh as I had read about in other reviews .
