Food is delicious. To be honest, this is the only place I like the birria from. I don’t typically like birria because I find it lacking flavor from other places but it’s always flavorful from this business- this one and the south location. Yummy food, kind service, attention to detail, great agua frescas. I do wish they had tamarindo though! I think they’d make it deliciously.
Walking in it was hot or felt stuffy. The place was clean, our waitress was kind & attentive. I ordered the Machacado à la Mexicana which came with refried beans,bacon and a side order of papas also À la Mexicana.Loved everything BUT the beans tasted like they came from a can. El Fogon is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is cheap but don’t let that fool you, it is simply delicious. They have daily specials like Mexican hot dogs and beef piratas that make the most popular Mexican restaurants look amateur. The place is BYOB on top of everything so it is a must try for anyone with taste buds!
