La Paletera Ice Cream and Fruit Cups

Terrible service, I called to ask about yogurt snow and they told me that if it was available, I went to the paletera to ask for it and they told me that they no longer have it and that the machine was already turned off. Keep in mind that I called at 9:15pm and the girl It wasn't to inform me that the machine was turned off at 9:30pm if I had known I would have asked for it! It is not the first time that some type of inconvenience has happened in this place.

I used to come here all the time with my dad and my family to hang out and eat chucherias. It used to feel warm and welcoming and we used to basically order dinner and get full off of tortas and fruit cups and paletas and Mexican drinks! ???

I was looking to rent the little paleta carts and buy in bulk for an event. Even though there is a sign that says rent me for the little cart the lady said they don’t do that any more. She was also not rude but not welcoming if that makes sense ??‍♀️. Maybe it was a long day? I felt rushed and was asking about buying paletas in bulk and she said maybe if I ordered like 300 I might get a small discount. She said any large order would have to be made in advance because they order them and they aren’t made there.

I didn’t feel like staying there to enjoy my paleta, it was kind of like umm ok I got my treat and I feel like I should leave ?

The nuez paleta was de crema and it was sooo good. I don’t have that much sugar often and I’m lactose intolerant ? so my head and stomach hurt 1/2 way through because it’s a lot of sugar but it was really good!

Total was $2.25 (including tax) for my paleta de nuez.

Slow paced. Disrespectful attitude from the lady cook with glasses working on Sunday 5/12/24 at 3:30. The 2 female cooks in the back always have an ugly attitude and will answer back with no solution to the customer’s complain. Even if you call ahead of time to place an order because it is understandable that it is a busy business, they do not place your order until customer arrives to the store which delays everything for everyone. Such a disappointment coming from San Antonio to this environment. Food is good but the business needs a new staff crew.

Everything is delicious.

La tostada gigante is my favorite and la agua tropical is the most delicious drink I have tasted! It's loaded with different kinds of fruits! I've yet to try the Mexican hotdog, that next on my agenda. Visit La Paletera Ice-cream,its next to Theos Barber Shop on Springfield St.

The service is matched only with the delicious food here. I come and get chicken salad every week for my grandma because she loves it. She says its very easy for her to eat because they grind it up real good and it doesn’t have alot of salt. The staff is very friendly and hard working. They have alot of tasty treats that accommodate any palate at reasonable prices. i would highly recommend trying this place if you have never been here or are from out of town.
