Pollo Palenque San Bernardo

Food as always is great. I would recommend, if you want mexican style, charbroiled chicken with the sides. I just don't recommend eating in. The place needs a major update, but the staff are great and the food is amazing as always.

I have nothing but respect to taco palenque and the rest of their restaurants. However as much as I love coming here, it has been nothing but dissatisfying the last 4 times I’ve been here. The atmosphere is terrible. Restaurant is really dirty and they don’t maintain their restrooms. Ordered a chicken burrito with no beans as soon as I got home it came with beans when I told them 4 times no beans. The second time the burrito had like 12 oz of rice than chicken. The quality has gotten down here. They really need to maintain their restaurants or retrain staff here.

They served the chicken batch that had been under the heat lamps for a while. Chicken was dry and not the best tasting. Not getting this chicken anymore.

Went thru the drive thru - WORST SERVICE. They don't pay attention to what you're ordering and give you whatever they want.

Bought an 8 piece meal for $28, I did not mind the price. Whatever. What I did mind was how dry and hard the chicken was. This place has gone from good to bad. Also, the drive-thru sign needs to be fixed very out dated and can barely see it. Won't be back for a long while until things improve.

Unfortunately, i got food poisoning from pollo palenque. I was a huge fan with pollo palenque the food is always delicious. I ate a 2 piece pollo combo with tortillas de arina, rice, beans and red salsa after work at around 9pm.. I woke up with abdominal pain specifically from the left lower quadrant. I had diarrhea and emesis episodes more than what I can count on my finger. I ended up going to work (12 hr shifts) because I thought it would go away (i’ve never experienced this before). It was barely 7am and I had gone to puke and diarrhea x2.. I was like yeah no i’m not going to survive at work. I felt very weak & my coworkers stated that I looked very pale and not my usual self. My charge assessed me and said wow your veins aren’t popping up, you’re extremely dehydrated. So I ended up leaving and continued puking bile & watery diarrhea.

Just please be careful next time to whoever made my food. I love pollo palenque but this experience I had is now forever associated with that restaurant.. I’m still sick but liquids are finally not coming back up anymore.. Just please double check the ingredients, wash your hands & use fresh food.

Yesterday I bought a whole chicken but I think it had hepatitis B from how yellow it looked and how horrible it tasted. I asked for a roasted onion and they don't sell it. And forget about the lemons and 3 tortillas for a whole yellow chicken and I paid 35 dollars. I really don't recommend it. In fact, I'd rather throw it in the trash!

Two hour wait and when you go and complain and tell them, hey where’s my food they get mad and they tell you well we’re busy. You can have your money back you think people wanna sit around and wait two hours for your food and I wasn’t the only one there was multiple tables and then they try to give me the food for free, but that wasn’t the point. I didn’t want their food. I want good customer service. I do not recommend this place. Please don’t come to the place. The restroom was disgusting. You go to the restroom. Disgusting you don’t even wanna know how disgusting disgusting Horrible horrible place.

There's roaches in the restroom. The was vomit in a table below a high chair. I was there for more than 30 Mins no one cleaned it up.

The air-condition does not work.. extremely hot inside.. only no more of 6 customers at that time.. and the bathroom 🚻 dirty (men's)
